We arrived at 7:32! Lucky the lights were on as well as a staff member and a couple of customers also i had just seen a man enter so in i went WRONG the doors were locked and even though i knocked and was seen no response. I found this extremely rude and unhelpful i assure you i was not out looking for lippy, eyeshadow or perfume i am looking for some first aid medical supplies but he did not seem to care. Sorry for being so inconvienant rest assured our household will not be entering this store ever again. June 22 I wanted to update since that experience which i agree must of been a one off or bad day because i have had excellent help from Unichem Mainstreet Pharmacy
Great service. I was served by a lovely young woman with long brown hair. She was kind enough to point out that the item I had selected wasn't on special as I had thought and helped me choose another. She also gave me a limited edition 50c coin. Thanks!
1 star for the very poor customer service. On entry I approached the prescription counter. I was the only person there. And the staff member 'Susan' behind the counter completely ignored me. I must have stood there for five minutes before another staff member called across the shop asking if I was ok. I don't have a problem with waiting when they are busy. And the second staff member said they were. But it would only have taken 3 seconds to acknowledge me and say 'someone will be with you as soon as possible'. Very poor service.

Very disappointed with what I was charged to have a prescription filled at this pharmacy. Was charged $9.00 for a single antibiotic, when I queried this the retail assistant vaguely muttered about it being an after hours charge. I was in the pharmacy at 6 pm, well within their clearly displayed operating hours. If there was an after hours charge this should have been clearly stated when I handed in my prescription to be filled. Certainly not good PR, I won't be back.
Good afternoon, I was in mainstreet Taupo unichem pharmacy today and I ment this amazing retail staff “poppy” she had great customer service skills and knowledge about the products available, and I was very impressed. I walked in their with very minimum knowledge about weight loss products but she really took her time out to explain me about the products available and even gave me so many great tips for weight. She was great I always liked visiting unichem because of the helpfully staff. Poppy definitely deserves a big thumbs up for her, “going extra mile customer service”. Will definitely be coming back again.
The lovely staff at Unichem Mainstreet Taupo were very responsive to our needs. Our friend was having an allergic reaction after being at the Wairakei pools and somewhere within those events he was having trouble breathing. They gave us very quick assistance, clear and easy to understand instructions and directed us to the nearest hospital. You were very clearly knowledgeable and we would like to give our heartfelt thanks for saving our friend. Thank you very very much! We appreciate you and all you did for us :
5 stars for the pharmacist . He is such a kind hearted person and always helps me out to get the right medication when I am in some problem .
