First dedicated Japanese Ramen shop on the Sunshine Coast. We specialise in rich and creamy Tonkotsu pork broth and our tender Char-Siu pork will melt in your mouth. we also have Vegan ramen option. The soup is made with 4 different kinds of mushrooms and kelp.

Definitely one of the foodie spots I appreciate on the Sunshine Coast. Chef-owned and operated, deep flavors, great consistency, short and concise menu always a good sign!. I’m not even a tonkotsu ramen big fan I like the clear broth ramen a lot more, but Umami makes me reconsider every time. Thank you!Food: 5/5
What a surprise, after hearing about Umami Ramen for the past few years I finally managed to drop in and was impressed with the quality bowl I was presented. Tonkotsu broth was excellent Char-siu was tasty could have used a thicker slice Noodles were great Egg was unique in flavour superb Look forward to visiting again Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen is in the menu Vegetarian sides also include Edamame, Vegetable gyoza, lotus chips, karaage cauliflower, kimchi Dietary restrictions: Vegan and GF both on the menu
Good and rich ramen broth. Edamame and fried lotus chips are very nice. However the noodle texture is not right, it is way too soft and tastes like instant noodle. You may like it if you prefer soft noodle.Food: 4/5
I’ve just ordered the spicy red ramen take away. When I got home and opened it I was surprised to see a tiny portion of pork, 1 thin tiny slice. I thought surely there must of been a mistake and contacted the restaurant. I asked the young lady on the phone about the pork and she said no, that’s normal, we only give one slice of pork. I asked if she thought 1 piece of pork was reasonable considering I’ve just paid $20 for noodles and she said shes not the one I should be talking to. I asked if she wanted to give the owner some feedback and she said she’s not interested. If you think about what the ramen consists of, it’s mostly noodles which cost next to nothing. So you’re paying mostly for the roast pork. It’s literally not even one mouth full of pork, I could easily fit the whole slice in one mouthful with plenty of room for more slices.
My husband ordered the tonkotsu ramen and said it was the most authentic ramen he's had in Australia - and he's been to Japan 10 times! The broth was very rich and not diluted like other places would, and the egg was the perfect flavour as it should be! I had the karaage chicken rice bowl which was also delicious. Good service and food didn't take too long which was good, because we had to have a quick dinner before heading to the airport! Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs available
Visited at 7.30pm few days ago with my family including a toddler. I was worried we may be too late for dining in so I asked first but the staff member said ok and kindly let us in. They said their last order is 8pm. We had tonkotsu, Smokey Black, karaage and mini chasiu rice bowl. The ramen soup was very rich and tasty. It was very interesting as it tasted also like katsuo dashi and depth in flavour. turns out it was kelp, as per google map! It was very considerate of them to check with us if we are sharing the rice bowl with our toddler as it came with a spicy sauce we overlooked the menu so they offered to put the sauce on the side! So my daughter could enjoy it as well
Came here with my assistance animal. Food was amazing. Our favorite place for raman in Queensland. Dietary restrictions: They also accomodated my son with nut allergies
Love the rich broth. Menu prices were a bit steep. Our family of 5 from Brisbane, truly enjoyed our meals there. Well worth the visit. Parking: Parking limited at the back and the surrounding streets.
High recommend Umami Ramen! Delicious, authentic, great portions and well priced. Staff are extremely friendly, outdoor and indoor seating available.
Best Japanese on the coast! My partner and I come here often and it never disappoints! Cute atmosphere, always busy! Friendly staff. Would recommend!!Food: 5/5
