This is the most memorable trip in Australia. I drove 3 hours+ to get there. The view is stunning and it was very cold due to the rain. I would have enjoyed it so much more if the weather was good. As one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, it’s definitely a must to visit. You won’t regret it. For drivers who aren’t very experience; i will recommend to you to take the internal road to here. As for the more experienced and adventurous drivers, take the great ocean and scenic road there. Oh man. I really hoped it didn’t rain that day, as there were several locations I’ve yet to visit when I was there. Be sure to be warmly dressed when going there on winter, as the wind is super chilling and strong. The sight is something unforgettable . I will love to visit it again sometime in 2023 winter!
This was an amazing experience we enjoyed the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to get to 12 Apostles.. wonderful one should always visit the place.. Watching the artistic carvings of mother nature on the lime stones of that part was amazing. You will be blown away, not only by the strong winds, but by the beauty of the erosion. it's like heaven on earth.. I highly recommend everyone should visit this place at least once in their life.. there are helicopter services if you want to have a view from above.. otherwise this nice place is free for visitors.. there are nice walks around the place which you should not miss..
Beautiful place, has an information Centre with a small cafe, good parking can be crowded - take care of you are directed to the small road that leads to the helipad. you will experience 7km of gravel road and 12 km of detour in total. We were there early and enjoyed the view from the platform. The path to the platform is nice and easy, you will need 5minutes maybe. They have a coin press, which is excellent as we are collecting those from all over the world. No parking or entry fee
Crowded people, very good place management. Nice walkway, interesting information boards, interesting plants all along the side of the walkway, but some trash issues. Why is it full of rude tourists? Never mind. The scenery is worth seeing once in a lifetime. It would be better to come here on a sunny and cloudless day, I love this place so much and want to come back.
We enjoyed the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road to get to 12 Apostles. Currently, some observation areas are closed for upgrades. But, once completed, it will be great. Coastal views are still fantastic. 12 Apostles platforms are one of the best lookouts in Melbourne. The view and vibe from the top were amazing. This Victorian attraction is well worth a visit. There are plenty of parking spaces and public restrooms.
I always dreamed to visit this scenic place in port Campbell. This is the best part of our trip to Victoria. Endless oceans and 12 apostles looked amazing. Breathtaking views from the top and has guide maps in between the places. We really enjoyed our scenic 5 hours drive from Melbourne city to this place and this is really worth the wait. Id highly recommend everyone to visit this wonderful spot in Victoria. A must visit place in VIC. This is going to be a memorable experience for me.
I have visited many cities of many countries but this is one of the best places I have ever visited.. it is such a nice place.. it's like heaven on earth.. I highly recommend everyone should visit this place at least once in their life.. there are helicopter services if you want to have a view from above.. otherwise this nice place is free for visitors.. the parking is also free.. they have restrooms if you need to use them.. there are nice walks around the place which you should not miss..
What an incredible piece of nature in Victoria! Only a few apostles left but new ones will form as erosion continues. Ample parking at the visitor centre and clean bathrooms. Would highly recommend walking to Gibson steps as well to get down onto beach level to really see how tall the apostles are and how strong the waves are be careful!
A must visit when touring the state of Victoria. Take the scenic route as every aspect is beautiful. You can never get enough pictures of this place. Mindful tips: - Check the weather conditions before traveling. - Layer up and carry warm clothes if visiting im winter. The winds can be chilly. - They have helicopter rides available too. - Start early as it is a long drive from the city. Ideal to break the trip over two days. Staying in Apollo bay / Lorne is nice for that.
One of my favourite spots in Victoria to watch the sunset. If you have the flexibility of choosing what time in the day to come, aim to arrive about 20minutes before the sun sets and you won't be disappointed. Easy to access, plenty of parking. Only negative is the visitor centre will be shut if you're coming at sunset but toilets still available to use.
