This business came out when we had an AA call out for a flat tyre over the long weekend. Amazing, friendly,  fast and helpful service. Recommended a great tyre place too. 10/10 recommend

My neice Courtney recommended Shaun at Turangi Auto Centre, Shaun helped us out. Shaun you were brilliant, sending us in the right direction, Thankyou, from Sheryl with the Anglia called Dorothy. Dorothys tummy was much happier after her visit.

Amazing was given the option to be towed there, they sorted my car out 1st thing and had great communication. Awesome people ! Highly recommend.

On Sunday we had fuel problems. We were given this number by the J service station. An extremely polite man turned up with a tow truck at 11.30am. We put the camper van onto the tow truck and drove two blocks to the promises of Turangi auto centre. The tow truck driver fixed our problem with a friendly service and we were ready to go back on the road at 12.35pm. And unfortunately that is when our troubles really began. The tow truck driver held us to ransom.,and would not give us back our keys until we had paid $675,.84,yes that is correct, we paid $675.84 for a n hour and five minutes. We were informed that because we didn't have insurance or belonged to any motoring groups,they could charge what they liked. And as tourists to this beautiful country, I would have thought that new Zealand would welcome tourists after covid19, but unfortunately that is not the case, as shown by our experience And in comparison we had only paid $500,00 for four nights and five days in the camper van.

Turangi Auto Centre absolutely saved the day!!! We had issues with our brakes in the evening.  After contacting the AA, Shaun from Turangi Auto Centre towed the car, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it quickly so we were able to continue our journey and catch the ferry on time. Super helpful when the house battery in our camper failed on us on our first trip. They went out of their way to find the problem - loose and dirty connections!, sand and tighten the connections and ensure it worked for us. No charge - so lovely. Can't thank them enough!

Nothing is worse then breaking down on the side of the road on holiday. They towed my car dropped me off at a hotel and the driver gave me advice on hikes to do, restaurants to try, and things to do while I waited.Services:&nbsp;Auto engine diagnostic

We had a disappointing experience with this business. They picked up my son's car, which was not going, and that was fine. They diagnosed the fault as some sensors and recommended a radiator repair as it had a small leak. This cost $1200. After this was completed, they advised that they suspected the head was cracked and did not think it was worth spending more dollars on it and that the vehicle should not be used. This is despite being told that the car had not overheated.  A cracked head should have been diagnosed earlier before the other major repairs were carried out. They refused to remove the parts that had been added and would not discount those parts.  A few days later, they decided that maybe the car could be used on short trips, so we arranged for the vehicle to be picked up and returned to Palmerston  North. Another $350.  On returning, we had it checked by a qualified mechanic with some 40 years of experience, and it was found that there were no further problems with the car.  They did an excellent job repairing the original problem, which stopped the car from operating, but they misdiagnosed issues that did not exist. I see they have a lot of good reviews, and I suspect that they will realise that this was not a good day for them, and they could have done better.Service:&nbsp;Car towing

These guys are exceptional. My car broke down on the desert road, they diagnosed the problem over the phone just from my description and were bang on they liaised with AA for me multiple times around towing the car, then getting it from Turangi back to Wellington. I didn't even know I was covered for a towing so without them looking into it for me I would have paid for it myself assuming that was my only option. They've had to deal with me going backwards and forwards over what I was going to do before we decided it was terminal and would get it towed home and never made me feel like a complete inconvenience asking so many questions! I cannot rave about them more in particular Shaun and Simon. Don't think I've ever dealt with such articulate mechanics. In an extremely stressful situation they were calm and knowledgeable and  extremely helpful. Even the receptionist Aroha was amazing to deal with. Highly recommend. Stück on the road with the rented campervan. We arrived 4.45 PM and the friendly lady at the reception told they closed 5 PM. A employee did a quick check at the car and the conclusion was we have to wait till next day. Very helpful to find the camping. Next day exactly 9AM they started working found the problem ordered a new alternator and 1.30 we were on the road again. The garage arranged all with the rental company so no costs for us. Thanks for this professional quick service! Please like my review below
