An incredible experience - a great stop off if you are travelling along the Gibb River Road or the Great Northern Highway. Informative signage assists in learning about the history of the land, of Jandamarra and the ancient Devonian Reef. It is highly recommended to bring a torch and water shoes, the tunnel is dark and there are slippery rocks to scramble over at times. It is mostly sandy bottom sections of water but some decaying plant matter can feel quite squelchy under foot. Halfway through the tunnel is an open section, and at the end is a lush little spot perfect for a refreshing swim before you make your way back to the carpark. Keep an eye out for little waterfalls along the way inside the tunnel, and be aware that freshwater crocodiles do inhabit the area. In general they are more scared of you than you are of them but they can deliver a nasty bite if provoked so please keep your distance.

We had great fun exploring though at that time of year (late October), the water was pretty stagnant and we avoided touching it. The signage could have been better - we weren’t exactly sure where to go.

This was the most unique national park we visited in the Kimberley. Access is directly off the car park and starts off with a fun scramble over some rocks before wading through some water into the tunnel. When we were there (early June) it was not possible to avoid the water and get the shoes wet (deepest part about knee deep) but a bit later in the season it should be possible to get across in the dry. Take the time to continue down to the first 2 or 3 pools on the other side of the tunnel. It's a very nice area with lots of fish. We also saw several large monitor lizards there.

Part of the spectacular Devonian Reef and interesting geology and history. The walk initially requires a bit of a scramble over some large rocks but well worth the effort. Walking through water is required and good footwear for the gravel and sand. It is about 750 metres through and about halfway the ceiling has collapsed and this is the only light source so you need a good torch. Once at the end there is some rock art on the gorge walls and then you have to return the same way. It can get very busy and crowded so best to arrive early.

This is the best walk through tunnel/cave I have experienced. There were a number of crocodiles (Johnsons), little bats and just great walking the water. Need a good torch.
