Booked for the Teppankai section so review was meant purely from the Teppanyaki section only.nnGilbert, the Teppanyaki chef was brilliant at engaging and creating a fun and friendly session. Rest of the staff team was also very friendly and attentive. Place was gorgeous as well.nnFood was average given the price as there wasn’t any unique flair/taste, was just good ingredients cooked on a flattop. But we agreed that the prawns were a little on the small side.nnIn summary, a wonderful place if you are after entertainment and ambience and food finesse is not high on the list.
Dining Teppanyaki style is an experience, and we enjoyed greatly at Tsunami. Food was great, very friendly service, enjoyable entertainment and skills by the chef. We went on an early booking on weeknight. Briefly had a look at other parts of the restaurant, on face value, such as external presence at daytime, doesn't look anything great, but internally and at back, looks nice. I don't know much about sake, even though I enjoy drinking such a drink, was tricky to work out a nice one. Relied on the staff a bit to try get a good win, the second one I tried definitely better. Overall, as much as there could be some refinements if you are expecting top-notch, I didn't want to hesitate in putting down 5-stars. I feel they've done well to provide a Teppanyaki service in Perth.
Thank you for making our anniversary dinner special! Staff are professional, lovely and very attentive; from the moment we walked in to the end of our night. Make sure to try out the specials that the staff recommend- they definitely know their food! Very entertaining chefs at Teppanyaki and food was absolutely delicious! We were full and that dessert was to die for! We will definitely be returning back and I highly recommend this place but ensure to book in advance!!
Quiet and lovely place. It looks small from outside when I passed by a few times, but it’s pretty big inside, and with an activity room.nFood is delicious beef sukiyaki warm for winter and tasty saki.nnIts website is a little confusing and different menus and prices website vs. restaurant menu book
This is the best dinner I’ve had in Perth - the food and the service. It was so enjoyable that 3 hours passed before we knew it. The quality of the food was next level and we can’t wait for our next visit. The tostada was so fresh and delicious that we ordered a second serve, the salmon aburi was perfection, the tuna belly special was divine and the volcano wagyu was just incredible. Also loved the dessert platter, all flavours were well balanced, so tasty and just the right size to enjoy after the meal.
