Mani Deep has been cutting and styling my hair for more than 10 years.   Need I say more?   I am always very happy with the result and have had different hairstyles over the years, short, bobs, long and layered. And I have been going to Tribe Lifestyle  Chatswood for 6 years. A visit to Tribe Lifestyle is a nice experience.  The salon is spacious, it’s a calm relaxing environment. The staff are lovely, helpful and well organised.   I am never kept waiting.  The shoulder massage is a bonus and the shampoo always includes a head massage.    Actually I think I take the service and whole experience for granted. Writing this I’m thinking of other hair salons I’ve been to where it’s noisy, rushed and I’m happy to leave.    I’ve never felt this at Tribe Chatswood

I had a really bad experience at this salon, and have been refused a refund. Whilst I have been offered a “free haircut”, I don’t want to give them the opportunity to ruin my hair even more. I also spent almost $300 on the services and don’t believe a haircut is sufficient regardless. I originally booked my appointment for 1215pm, and when I got the confirmation text my appointment had been pushed to 130pm with no communication as to why. I had an in-depth discussion with both the person colouring my hair and the person cutting it before the services were performed, and they seemed to understand what I wanted. My hair was thinned out so much that it was breaking and splitting, and I had to go somewhere else and pay for a few inches to be chopped off. A week and a half after my service, my colour now has bands of different shades of dark brown and I will have to go elsewhere to have this rectified as well. I have been treated poorly by the staff when following this up, and it took two emails and a Facebook message for them to respond after two days. Even the director of the Chatswood salon has now refused my request for a refund. Do not recommend at all, save your money and go elsewhere!Services:&nbsp;Hairstyling

I was going to give 1 star only. I had a consultation with Mani and he confirmed he could give me the hair color I showed him. He booked an appointment for me for few days later. When I got there on my appointment day, he said: Sorry I can't get the hair color you asked!!!!!!  I am giving 5 star because of Louise.  She took responsibility for his mistake and while she was fully booked she did my job. She was very professional and lovely. I'm very happy with my hair, thank you Louise.

The reception lady was lovely. But I don’t like the service provider. I don’t know how to appreciate a $135 hair cut service to have hair cut all inside my shirt.  $110 as new customer which was offered by the receptionist, the hairdresser wanted to charge me $135 even though I told her it’s the first time I visited the salon  There was no towel to dry my hair. It’s a disposable wipe and it stinks!  There was no proper cover to seal around my neck to prevent loose hair coming into my shirt. There was no hair styling product used after the hair cut and the stylist let my hair cover my face as the final results of this service. I am deeply annoyed by the service standard of this salon. I don’t mind paying for the quality services. I go to Karastase salons all the time but thought I’d try Tribe for a change. Big mistake! Won’t come back ever again! The one star is for the young lady who booked my in. Horrible service by the “stylist” and I won’t pay more than $40 for what she did!Service:&nbsp;Hairstyling

I had a fantastic experience with Mani-Deep as a first time customer at this salon. Mani really took care with my haircut and was very knowledgable. I also loved my blow dry afterwards. So a bit of a tricky one but none the less overall bad experience. Firstly the staff at tribe were lovely and when they couldn't find me an appointment for a men's cut they booked me in at their sister site luc ? Upstairs near jbhifi. This was all very professional. Eventually when I arrived for the booking I was told it would be minimum $120 dollars as it included a facial and shampoo. I just wanted a men's cut that I was expecting based off tribe to be 70 odd dollars. Still expensive for a men's cut but almost reasonable. Baiting and switching to another salon with higher prices, hence wasting my time, is the reason for the low rating along with over the top, unjustifiable mens pricing. Even the lovely lady at the counter could see my point regarding pricing in relation to service  It's a shame as based off the staff I dealt with and the appearance of the salons it would seem to have been a great place to have a cut. Some miscommunication I accept but outrageous men's pricing will keep me away.

Highly recommend this hair salon, which I have been coming to for years.  Whenever I come in they provide a lovely ritual which consists of essential oils and a head massage, which instantly relaxes you. Additionally, they provide you with teas/drinks and seek whether you would like to order from the cafe opposite which they facilitate on your behalf. Fantastic if you’re like me and always rushing to appointments and forgetting to eat!  My stylist, ManiDeep is beyond talented and truly an amazing human to interact with. Very conscious of his customers around the salon and as well of myself the client, truly a genuine and kind person. The salon is lucky to have Mani, he stole me from another salon so can’t imagine how many others have changed salons after having Mani touch their hair. I honestly feel a million dollars every time I leave this salon, and have always received compliments about my hair by friends and family. I’ve never felt rushed to leave or pushed to buy anything. I cannot recommend this hairstylist any more. I have been a regular customer for year's now. Louise is amazing and brings year's of her experience to her service and is willing to listen and understand your needs,wants and challenges with your hair to cater a style that is best for you.  They are all lovely and the reason why I am a regular customer. Also a scented head massage before cut and a herbal tea.. How could you go wrong?

I recently got my hair done to which I am happy with how it looks. They always do a good job. Unfortunately, I was left a little disappointed with the price I paid for it.  I was quite shocked to hear that only 15 scattered foils & a cut / blow dry cost $350!! I understand it was with a senior stylist however, when I booked online I selected ‘any hairdresser’ not realising that it would be that much. I’ve been getting foils for years and have never paid near that price for 15! Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring the price down as I was told the gloss was essential and the blow dry included. It is a shame cause the team is lovely and do a good job.  From a customer-experience perspective it would’ve been nice if the website indicated which hairdresser I was with and the associated price to avoid the suprise of the $$. I also didn’t receive a head massage like usual which isn’t a big deal but when you pay that price especially for 15 foils you hope to have the proper experience. It is a shame as the team is lovely & do a good job.
