"Treasure Island is a family park welcoming guests all year round.Welcome to the clear waters and sub-tropical climate of the winter-less north where shoes are optional but relaxing is a must.The Trailer Park has 85 powered sites and 65 camping sites. It has two ablution blocks with 10 showers and 14 toilets. Above the main ablution block are the kitchen and T.V. room, with an alfresco dining area. There is also a shop & takeaway within the park. These are open during peak times from December 26 each year."

Great place for the family, on one side you have a great surf beach which is also great to swim in at low tide and on the other you have a beautiful calm bay to swim. $0.50 for 3 min showers, $4 washing machine and $4 dryers. We stayed here for 3 days over Christmas. The shop is awesome and the staff are so friendly definitely coming back to this one
We didn’t want to stay 2 nights so we asked for s refund straight away and they said we couldn’t so we only stayed for one night, absolute joke for customer service. Its expensive and most sites are cramped in like sardines, you can walk to the closest beach but it’s very busy, the other larger beach is 25 min walk or hour drive. There’s much much nicer campgrounds than this!
Definitely looking a bit dated and rough around the edges, and the name certainly hints at something more special than just a motor camp... But everything you need is pretty much there, good kitchen, toilets and showers so no complaints!
A typical quintessential kiwi family holiday park. Lot's of fun things to do. This grandpa was tempted to do the flying fox and very long slide, only to be held back by an embarrased grand ma. Super friendly and helpful staff. Great shop on site and also nice barrista coffee. For great views, ask for sites 144 to 150. Facilities are a bit dated but kept very clean. Only down side is the dump station. Should be improved on as there's no area to rinse which leads to potential waste dripping on the dirt and mixing with rain water and then .. spilling onto the are where people / children walk. Could be an easy fix with some concrete and a drain...
Mediocre facilities for premium price paid. Top 10 holiday parks offer way more for about the same money. Been there done that but won't return.
Awesome place. Immaculate grounds and it is 200 metres to the most beautiful secluded beach and 100 metres to the estuary. Large playground for the kids . The best.
We stayed here over summer on one of the sites up the hill overlooking the beach in front! Amazing spot to stay. Well run campsite
One of the best campsites of northland! Slides, a large flying fox off the hill and a playground. Super fun for the adults as well. The best views of the ocean and mountains surrounded by palm trees. Bliss. Great, friendly staff!
TI is a great place to camp. U have the option of calmer waters and a not so calm one for the adventurous ones. We camped 2 weeks back though on a super bad weather.... we woke up on a lake as we got flooded it would have been nice if they took extra care in letting us know we should move... surely they would know which area gets flooded.... we were told in an email post camp that they apparently missed to inform us... lucky it was just angle high water ei? It could have been worst... also, they did not check us in properly and now I am still waiting for a refund... !
We just came back after 9 nights at treasure island and I’m already missing it. Fantastic family camp ground with great facilities and friendly staff. Look forward to visiting again in the future. Thanks!
