Hmm how times have changed. These days we sit on our backside and we read reviews and make a decision whether to use a business or service or not. Like it or not this is what people do now. I have a landcruiser gearbox, needs repair, typical of a landcruiser gearbox. I know exactly what is wrong and what parts I need. Being a heavy diesel mechanic I will fix it myself, have everything I need, tools, knowledge, experience, big shed, steel benches, nice big transmission trolley and a crane to lift gearbox onto bench. What I don't have is parts. I was going to just stroll in and buy parts from TGR, then I thought let's read the reviews, who am I dealing with? I didn't like what I read, abusing customers, not cool. Sure just buying parts I couldn't go wrong. I want to support local business as much as I can but there are some I won't support. Running a business is darn hard work, I did it a few years ago. I was lucky, didn't have bad customers. Maybe it wasn't luck, I offered a good honest service and always honored my work. One job, brand new engine install into a skid steer loader I was distracted when one of the customers employees needed a hand. I left a hose clamp loose on the intake, engine was dusted in 6 hours. I bought a new engine did the removal and install on my own time. The customer was so impressed with the no nonsense repair and honesty he lined me up with 4 times more work. Without customers you have no business. Abusing and threatening customers won't achieve anything. Sure I can only read the customers side of the story here, but there is some merit to their story if they will make the effort to write a review, they wouldn't do it for fun or out of boredom. Word of mouth is now tap of the keyboard. I'll hit the keyboard a few more times and find another supplier of parts.

Well where do I start I gave a well deserved bad review on face book last night about Jason at TGR This morning I got a call that I answered After Jason addressed him self I was abused over the phone quite aggressively , he started by praying on my disability by calling me an I....... c... then proceeded to verbally and aggressively abuse me some more calling me every name under the sun f n c this and f n c that When I actually got a word in I asked him if he called all the people that gave him a bad review and abused them? His reply was NO BECAUSE THEY AREN’T ABSOLUTE F...WHITTS LIKE YOU He then abused me for contacting the department of fair trading Even tho I spent 6 months trying to get him to fix his mistakes in person,on the phone and via email each time all I go was excuses and refusal to honour the warranty Then he proceeded to say and I quote “I know a lot of people in this town and I will send them you personal details” Then threatened that I may receive a few more calls today In the end I just could not take any more of his abuse All I could was say was “Mate have a good day” Then I terminated the call while he was still ranting on I’m not sure what Jason expected to achieve from this abusive call except for the fact that he cemented his attitude in the review I gave
