“Very sweet place to have a nice and relaxing dinner” The roast potatoes and chicken were my absolutely favourites. The latter was super tender and flavourful. The rest of the dishes were well done and paired well with everything but on their own, it wasn’t exactly 5-stars.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Bondi, I would say. Love the lightness and hue of the ambience, and texture, pairing/combination, and freshness of ingredients used. I would reckon visiting this place in winter is better than summer months, simply because of the crowd. If you can't get a reservation, try to walk in after 1 pm. Enjoy.
We had the best time and a truly delicious dinner. The bread and tapas selection was the perfect start, followed by the absolute best pasta! The waitress was lovely, and our table in the courtyard was so nice. 5 stars all round
It has a really energetic vibe with fun music playing and ambience. The bread and sides were my favourites. The pasta ragu was nice. The schnitzel a bit gristly. Cocktails were really pretty. We did feel quiet rushed even though it was a later booking so the table didn’t need to be turned over. The staff were not overly friendly either.
Absolutely 5/5. Loved the zucchini salad and the pasta in particular, not salty but super flavorful. The ingredients are very fresh with good quality, so worth the price.
7.5/10 - To be real honest, the food tasted great and I was happy with everything we ordered except for the pork schnitzel which needed more seasoning or a sauce. However, I wouldn't come again for $30 pasta because $60 per person just on food alone is not worth my time. Also I understand the waiters are trying to be best friends with you but I just want them to take my order and leave us in peace. I do not need them to sit down next to me to write down our order. I'm also always hesitant to go to any restaurant that has a surcharge on Sundays because you already know your'e paying for the vibe rather than the food.
We might have picked the wrong dishes but the food was generally very average. Between the two of us, we shared the wood fired bread best part of meal, anchovies ok, gnochetti, prawns, prosciutto and green garlic it was cut up little prawns which was not expected and it was too salty, so overpriced for $36 and the roasted fregola corn and chilli lacked flavour. Service was fast but not attentive after food was served.
Yum yum in my tum tum! A popular Italian restaurant with lots of variety and fresh ingredients! Loved the antipasti range offered, relished every bite of it.
A lovely restaurant with delicious freshly baked Woodfired bread. The associated antipasti are all delicious and I definitely recommend the burrata, tomatoes and also the chicken liver pate to accompany the bread. The pasta options were also quite nice but overpriced for the serving size and on a few occasions have been overcooked. The drink menu is diverse however the cocktails were not particularly standout for the price. Overall though Tottis is a nice place to catch up for lunch with a great atmosphere. It can be very busy and booking ahead is essential. The bread with antipasti options are the primary reason to come. The pastas and drinks could be given a miss.
Very overrated. Wasn’t awful and actually not as expensive as I thought but given the 6+ week lead time for booking, I would pick one of the many other Italian places around instead. The pastas were lacking flavour and just didn’t hit the spot.
