Affordable lunch spot in Mitcham! We had a razor clams rice noodles and singaporean seafood fried noodles. The food are make to order and served with different spicy sauce.
We had high expectations for this place as we saw a lot of good reviews to this place and drove 30 mins here but it was so disappointingnnThe restaurant had one other group of customer when we entered, it was a weekend night around 6pm.nnWe liked that the original soup had a good flavour, but the spicy soup pan mee broth was not as good and lacked flavour. In addition, as the noodles are hand made we expected it to be soft and chewy, but it was so hard and tough, authentic pan mee shouldn’t taste like this. Toppings were good thonnWe were hungry even after eating one serving of this pan mee
In my estimation their signature/soup pan mee is one of the best in Melbourne:nBroth?, piping hot and good flavournAl dente noodles? nIngredients? , veges ample and fresh, fried anchovies don't seem to be store bought some are foulnSambal? , a little goes a long way nPricing/portion size? n#kipitup!nnPS: I'm not a fan of the soy sauce used in their dry pan mee, YMMV
We ordered our second takeaway from here and both times the pan mee soup was very delicious. The noodles are very well made, nice and thick, and the soup is pretty authentic, reminds me a bit of Malaysia. The dry pan mee wasn’t that tasty, felt it was lacking something. But overall very satisfied with the pan mee soup and definitely want to come and eat in store.
Good Malaysian + Singaporean dishes parking is no problem, next to the train station. Come here for cheap eats.
