Absolutely we'll deserved 5 stars  for Anna and Jim who served today me and my husband. We don't felt we eat just fish and chips. Anna and Jim asked us if all is fine and if we like it. Portions was huge and tasty. Really recommend it. I will back for sure !

Friends recommend this place to us and we finally had some takeaway yesterday. Very impressed with the chips, and the fish was fantastic! 100% will get again!

Wife and I enjoyed brilliant Cod and Chips. On another level. In fact better tonight than Fish and Chips from Swanage, where their three Chippies are all A1 anyway.  Quality oil, quality fresh fish and quality potatoes.  A genuine 5 stars - and I have tried virtually all the Chip shops in the area. January  2020 - Update !!  Another lovely family meal of Cod and Chips, Battered Halloumi and Battered Sausage and Chips. The standards remain extremely high - everything cooked fresh  - and within a few minutes of arriving. Still the best Fish and Chips in Southampton

Excellent, the haddock was delicious ,the batter nice and crisp and not at all greasy, chips chunky and non greasy too, I will definitely use this shop again, it was recommended and I’m glad it was.

Possibly the best fish and chips we've ever had! Beautiful piece of cod and haddock in thin and crispy batter with home-made tartare sauce and mushy pies and well cooked chips. Fryer Jim told us he was a former chef and it shows. Lovely service, too. What a gem of a place.

I went there recently at lunch time. I ordered a regular fish and chips and sat down waiting to be serve and eat in, the fisher man just dumped an overcook tiny fish, with lots of chips, the shop was busy, but he was busy talking to his mates behind the cooking area.  I was charged nearly £ 8.00 for the " Lunch Time special" with no drink.  Very bad value for money, also he never bother to clean the dirty use tables so customers can sit down, the place was very dirty, dirty plates on the tables, he spend to much time talking to his mates instead of looking after the costumers and keeping the place tidy.  Very bad food and service.

Excellent Fish and chips!  Best I have had in the UK ever not just this trip.  You can appreciate the attention to detail and quality with almost all products being made fresh and all meals showing where they are sourced.  Will be back!

Really top quality fresh fish! But sadly the shop is closed most of the times   and don’t get to eat often

This "seafood basket" cost £8.40, I'll let you decide if you think that two squid rings, two prawns, two cod bites and whatever the last item is, represents good value for money.  Awful

Get yourself a seafood basket and chips!! Here for the weekend from the Midlands and this is the best fish and chips I've ever had ! Perfect chips, great fish and the staff are very friendly and have a smile on their face. Highly recommended and if I'm ever back in Southampton, I will definitely be eating here !
