Toorak Tracktor is a hidden little gem. It's right near Toorak train station in amongst a new development of apartments. It's aesthetically pretty and pleasing and the food, though changes often, is really good. We went for a weekday brunch/lunch, and it was quiet and the servers were attentive. The staff were happy to make any amendments to the food and it's a great spot for enjoying good food/company and time away from rushing around. As basic as it sounds, I got the Eggs Benedict and added smoked salmon and it was so delicious. It was presented beautifully, and tasted great. I know almost everywhere makes this dish, but the hash, broccoli and onions all made it taste extra good and delicious. There's also a small onsite mini deli and at the counter there is a good selection of heavenly looking baked goods. I didn't try one this time, but I can't wait to go back again and give something in that cabinet a try. I'm sure I'll be back. I am positive these guys are busy on the weekends, but during the week, the parking is good and service top notch. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast or lunch.
After visiting the recently opened Toorak Tracktor in Armadale we were absolutely blown away by their fresh seasonal produce driven menu that changes on a weekly basis. Every week offers you the chance to discover an exciting new menu that will take your tastebuds on a memorable journey that will keep you coming back for more. So we highly recommend that if you like any of these dishes pictured above make sure you get in quick so that you don’t miss out.
I drank the best coffee I'd had in yonks. Also enjoyed a beautiful pork belly for lunch but had serious food envy with my friends choices. Ruby was really friendly and Duncan the manager was good fun. It all looked brand new but had a great atmosphere like they'd been there forever. I wished I lived in the apts above.
Really nice brunch spot with a unique menu. I had the porridge which was delicious, not too sweet, perfect size. Coffee was delicious. Staff were friendly.
Great place for Coffee and Brunch; coffee was well balanced and the Cherry Smoked Kangaroo is a must try! Definitely give it a go when visiting.
Best place in Toorak. Best chef, best food, fresh produce, great wine list, early all day bar service, amazing barista and coffee. Pet friendly too if that's your thing.
Love this cafe! A very cool and very clean! space with a lovely little deli up the front, and the food is wonderful. The menu changes weekly but is always delicious, Ruby makes phenomenal coffee, all the waitstaff are very attentive and lovely! Definitely recommend for a quick pit stop before catching the train, or for a brunch location! Just keep in mind that when busy, food can take a little longer to come out :
Went for brunch with my partner. We had the Tracktor Benny and Kangaroo loin. The dishes were superb! Amazing flavour combinations in both dishes. Every mouthful was a delight and the visual presentation of the meals, outstanding. The cafe has a comforting atmosphere and nice decor.
Really impressed with the venue and the service. The house made pasta is worth coming back for!
UPDATE: May 2019 - Visited back again today to gives these guys another try. Was brought water and served in 4 minutes - Tick. Coffee and large hot chocolate was served in good speed and made well - Tick. Staff member that served us was friendly - Tick. Only piece of advice...I ordered a large hot chocolate and was told they only do 'large drinks' in a takeaway. Not a huge deal....just odd. Well done on the improvement guys! Visited on a Saturday morning and was not greeted. I found my own table and someone very kindly brought me a menu and water. However, that was where the service ended. I waited for 32 minutes before leaving. I was not approached again and even after my partner arrived...we were not asked if we would like to order anything. Granted, the inside is beautiful and they have done well with design. Service, at the moment, needs to be improved. The owner/manager also needs to watch how he speaks to his staff in front of customers. One waitress made a mistake and was verbally told off in a terribly embarrassing way; in front of customers.
