I had the most awful experience shopping at Toolmart, I purchased a Makita tool which didn’t work correctly out of the box. They told me they would need to send it off to be serviced rather than a direct replacement. I augured the point and they finally agreed to swap it out, but made me feel like they were doing me a favour! Allen was great until there was a problem, the Belmont store came to the rescue but were very rude about it. Where’s the service? What’s the point of shopping at a store that doesn’t support its customers. I really did want to support a small store but I Hate to say it I’d go back to Bunnings any day after that experience.
Great business to deal with! Recently purchased a panel cutter, arrived in a very timely manner and postage very reasonable.
Terrible customer service, it constantly seems to be full of new people who haven’t been trained. I’ve been waiting for a warranty to get ‘assessed’ for months and keep getting told they’re just waiting on someone.

Yet again they have gone above and beyond to get me out of the poop. For the odd specialised tool you may need they are the ideal first stop.
Fantastic range of tools for all your needs. Lots of very obscure tools for a range of industries and applications. It's like what bunnings would be like if they weren't for the novice handyman.
I went there twice seeking hardware, both times disappointed with the service and the items were sold out. Really. Maybe it was just bad luck, but I have had both remarkably excellent service and good availability on two occasions from another Toolmart store the little O’Connor shop. So not willing to write off Toolmart at this stage especially as they have a great range of listed stock, but frankly, won’t be going to the Belmont store again. Maybe online is the way to go?
