Dani is an AMAZING creative & I have loved going to her over the years and highly recommend her. However, for the third year in a row T&G have ruined what is should be an enjoyable experience of getting H&MU done for spring racing. First year they overbooked & we were there for over 3 hours and we ended having to leave so 1 person didn’t get their makeup done. I gave feedback to Pip, the salon manager, when I was in the salon next but she was very blaze and really wasn’t interested in listening. Second year they lost my booking but luckily Dani & the makeup artist saved the day as they were quick & efficient but again we were running late. Again, no explanation / apology from the salon manager. This year, I booked again months in advance and booked the earliest appointment to ensure there would be no timing issues as we had to leave by a certain time. Yet again, there was another booking debacle and I walked away with no makeup and pretty unhappy. The makeup artist’s comment “Oh well. Live and learn” was not welcomed giving this is the third year in a row there has been a booking debacle. Dani knew I was upset and very apologetic but really it was not her fault or her issue to try and resolve. It should be the person coordinating the booking. I received a phone call 45 minutes later to say I could come back & have makeup done but it was already too late. Again, no explanation / apology from the salon manager. I waited a week to see if I would receive some sort of explanation / apology but nothing. I emailed T&G and never received an acknowledgement or response. Very disappointing given I have been a loyal customer for a number of years. T&G pride themselves in their professionalism and customer service. Generally, I concur with these comments. Aside from the above, there has been a few times where there has been issues with my “normal” appointments but luckily I have been in the position to accommodate. This experience shows me Pip does not care about her regular clients. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

This is the first time I went to a hair dresser that costs more than $25, and Toni and Guy is definitely worth it. The whole experience was great! I was a little bit early, but we started straightaway. Got a cup of tea, she washed my hair and gave a great head massage. She (Amy) was very knowledgeable about hairstyles and what would be good for my thin hair. After at least 60min I was finished and I remember thinking: "Wow my hair has never looked this good"! I definitely recommend Toni and Guy (South Yarra).

Couldn't be happier with the service I received from Amy yesterday. She completely nailed my colour. After being to other salons in the area and not being happy with it, I couldn't recommend this salon more. I will definitely be back.

The friendliness and good vibes are worth what you spend. Danni is amazing and a beautiful soul. Such a great atmosphere!
