Still the same wonderful food. Well presented, fresh and great value for your money. Variety from fresh seafood, fried bread and of course the famous fish n chips. I prefer the raw mussels, raw fish in punnets with fried bread. A meal on it's own. A must to pamper your taste buds.
This place in Manurewa always have best fresh fish n chips its always packed when I go there I love the atmosphere and service Awesome guys.Food: 5/5

Staff were not friendly and service was rude n abrupt. Fish was oily and batter stuck together with other fish.Food: 4/5
I have had a bad experience at Toby's uncooked food, ie potato fritters like apple's, opened up a bag with 6scallops that had turned into a mash of batter and scallops the fish was not what I asked for and also like the scallops a mash of batter and fish cost me $40:00 put it in front of my family they were not impressed at all but the birds loved it. I WONT BE BACK
I'm soooooo embarrassed to say that I am 1 of those air heads that didn't pay attention to my paywave payment and actually left the store before making sure my purchase went through ‍ When I checked my bank statement the next day, I simply HAD to go back! Longer story short lol I was thanked for coming back to pay and told NOT to feel bad about it and that because I genuinely didn't know, that it was ok and to go back any time!

Lots of people say how great the food is so decided to try it .. Good sign when the shop is full of waiting customers.. But after ordering the fish and chips I'm not sure why anyone would waste there money on the food .. Batter fell of the fish stuck to paper and the chips were undercooked Fish was fresh but overall I would never go back The staff were okay accept I feel they need to be more professional.. Bit young and no one to lead the way I guess Don't know why everyone raves about TOBYS
