I'm definitely going back for another coffee, really lovely staff and I had two good coffees there but on the third day I grabbed a egg and bacon toasty for breakfast and I really hope this was just an off day, as it was awful, very thin bread soaked in margarine with a dry bit of egg and bacon, not what I expected for a $12 sandwich and very rare for me to throw food away. Such nice people though and seem very proud of their shop so I'll go back and try again and hope I was just unlucky.
Today I went in and had lunch with my family it was absolutely amazing and not a crumb was left on the plates. I had previously left a review that was not reflective of their obviously usual standards and have deleted it as I guess even chefs have bad days I certainly know I do The staff were absolutely amazing and I thank the owner for asking us back for another try because I cant talk highly enough. Please think and even have a chat with staff before jumping the gun making review's like I previously done.
It's such a cute little cafe. Its location might seem like a run of the mill cafe in a small suburban shopping centre, but it's really quite quaint and has a nice trendy, warm industrial feel to it. The eggs Benedict was so yummy, I especially like that they didn't use ciabtta or turkish bread that goes cold and hard to cut if you like to savour your food instead of scoffing it down. The bickies they serve with the delicious coffee were so tasty & were a nice accompaniment to the coffee. Service was great for a Sunday, but what would've improved it was informing customers a new chef had started that day, and meals might come with a small delay when they order instead of when the food arrived. None the less the lovely staff were very apologetic about it, and the food was incredible and very worth the small extra wait. I'm looking forward to dining here again!
We highly recommend the Toast Cafe. Fantastic food and great coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful. The best meal we've had since we've been visiting Launceston. We'll definitely be back!
Best cafe for a breakfast. Love all the foods especially the hot chocolate Nutella.nFriendly staffs. Great customer service. Will go again and highly recommended.
