We provide a comprehensive range of dental treatment from a basic check up and clean, to complex treatments like wisdom teeth extractions, molar root canal treatment, implants and implant supported dentures. We also provide happy gas and sedation and provide treatment to children. We are multicultural and can cater for Macedonian, Mandarin, Cantonese, Italian, Vietnamese and Korean. Clean place, average service, convenient parking space. I was recommended by a friend. Probably going back for a clean again next year.
After reading some very negative reviews of this practice I feel compelled to add my own very positive experience. My husband first attended this clinic 10 years ago. He recommended them to me and I in turn, recommended them to my daughter, who recommended them to her boyfriend... and so on. None of us live in Thomastown but we wouldn't consider going anywhere else because our experience at this surgery has been so positive. I would especially like to mention Dir. Li - her gentle and caring manner has done more to reduce my fear of dentistry than any other dentist in my 60 years of life and the helpful, courteous and extremely sweet receptionist whose name I sadly do not know, who makes booking an appointment a pleasure.
Daniel was very professional. Takes time to make aure your not in pain. Never overcharged. In fact offered discounts. Would highly recommend.
DO NOT ATTEND THIS CLINIC WHATEVER YOU DO! MISSING MONEY AND CASH PAYMENTS! I have been coming to this clinic for a couple of years, I'd say 3 years. 1. Unprofessionalism: The original Dentists I had were lovely. I then had a new Dentist, Dr Li who I believe is very green, inexperienced, and egotistical too. I have severe periodontal, and for years have been doing research on what would be a better option for me long term. When I discussed with her the latest technology in full mouth denture called Zygomatic, this young egotistical Doctor scoffed, laughed and said she's never heard of it and made it out like it was a scam, because her fresh out off school knowledge does not extend to this World Class technology that is renown. She has given me the wrong information on my treatment plans, for example, scoffing at all on 6 treatments for my case, despite multiple much much more experienced Dentists and Periodontists have told me I needed. Dr Li, insisted that my bone structure was strong enough to have individual implants only, which is absolutely incorrect. I have severe periodental which requires all my teeth to be removed, with extensive bone grafting and ongoing treatments needed for all on 6 or Zygomatic. 2. Missing Money and Payments - although we are not made of cash, we are comfortable enough to make sure we have money for payments for any service we attend. In one appointment, Dr Li surprisingly told me I owed them $800 a year go and insisted I must pay this money or they won't get my denture fixed as I came in with a broken denture during an appointment. Their receptionist threatened that I will be without denture if I don't pay. I told them I have paid whatever they asked on any appointment attended and told them I had always carried cash or paid via debit card, as we do not have a habit of using credit cards or being on payment plan. No matter what I said, they insisted I never paid them even though my daughter recalled we paid the cash payments. The receptionists who took payments at the front counter denied taking payments. 3. Today, a year or so ago later, I called them to book a clean and they told me that they will not book me in for anything because I owe them money. Although they previously said I owe them $800, now they say the amount I owe them is $500. A lot of inaccuracies and inconsistency. 4. When taking out my teeth, Dr Li was EXTREMELY ROUGH, it was the MOST PAINFUL dental experience I have ever had in my life. At one point, I could feel the needle going through my gum and had to continually asked for extra numb as I could even feel the tools cutting through my bones. So far, they took over 12 teeth out off my mouth this way. I stayed as I thought this is what to expect, but since finding a new, more professional Dental service I realise this is not the case. I am currently going through the process of lodging a formal complain with the Medical/Dental Board for inappropriate, unprofessional behaviour and lack of duty of care from this place, and from Dr Li. Please beware booking with them, following their treatment advice and most important, BE CAREFUL PAYING CASH! VERY DISHONEST!
I'm a new patient at Thomastown Dental Surgery, it was recommended from friends and family. Customer service and staff care was amazing from when I called to arrange my initial appointment. And they have after-hours appointments which is great! The receptionist was friendly, helpful, and patient. Dr Li was skilled, thorough, and informative. The price was very affordable. I got the gap between my teeth fixed today by Dr Li and her Assistant Frankie, and I was so happy, when I looked in the mirror at the dentist I cried with joy...such an amazing job. Something that made me so self conscious over the years covering my mouth when I smiled, and during mask wearing it was a blessing not to have to worry about it. Now I can smile again. Thank you so much. I am over the moon and can't stop smiling.
You will be wast your money if you are here for major dental surgery!! The dentist here has no experience, no hygiene on her dental equipments, keen on sales of the types of major surgery you should done, but cant fix the problem afterward. After listening to Dentist Lee's words, my husband had a crown made and put into his gum, his gum has no infection and pain before, after this surgery, his gum got infected, the crown didn't even fit properly, he cant chew properly, cant even chew normal food.suffered from pain, eventually the crown needed to be removed. Informed them 3 times, only given antibiotic, we tried another dental clinic, the crown got fixed in one visit. However, due to the infection, this crown got removed by dentist Lee, my husband lost one tooth and more than a thousand dollars at the end.
I went and got my braces put on and i felt it was just a rush for them to remove my braces, they removed them and i’m not happy with the results of my teeth
Extremely happy. From Daniel, Polly, Michael to the rest of the staff, professional, attentive, kind and gentle work. My whole family and many of my close friends visit this Dental surgery for their teeth maintenance and affordable braces. Thank you Daniel, I’m so happy I found you, would recommend any day.
