Recently visited The Wooden Farmer after a a tour of the Blue Springs.nWe enjoyed a delicious Pulled Pork Burger, Lentil Burger with Kumara chips and a Power Bowl. All were amazing we taste tested!!!; I had the Power Bowl and cannot express how delicious it was - packed full to the brim with flavours and textures.nWe had to finish with a shared slice of home-made carrot cake, which was moist and chock full of nuts and seeds. Absolutely yum!!
The fact that every table indoors was reserved on an early Friday evening should tell you how popular this place is, and deservedly so. We had a farmer burgers, which were really two meals in one. A juicy beef patty, three large rashers of bacon, two battered onion rings plus all the dressings and extras in a crisp bun and plenty of chips in the side. For 28 dollars...a great deal.
great food, except the chicken burger had guacamole on it and didn't say that on the menu. not a big deal as it was easy to scrape off but for future reference :
Possibly the best pulled pork burger I have ever had.nNice service and overall good experience.
Good sized portions, tasty food. I had a lentil and kūmara burger with kūmara fries. Yum, yum, yum!
