Purchased a beautiful bottle of whiskey. Ross gave great advice over the phone while I was browsing their store online. I would say this establishment stocks the most variety of high end whiskeys and scotchs. Definitely a visit in person if you can as not all whiskeys are listed online so you might find a rare bottle on the shelves! Ross and team would give exceptional suggestions as well.

Probably the best independent bottle shop in Melbourne. The staff know everything, they have a great selection, they often have an adorable dog who loves pats. Give Dan Murphy the slip and support a great local business!

Staff are always great and their range is second to none. Bought a special bottle as a gift today and also had a nice chat about gin. Always lovely to go in there.

Extremely poor customer service, particularly given the circumstances. Popped in a few minutes before close, asked if they were open to which I was told they were. Wandered over to have a look at the whiskey collection as often they have better collections than major retailers albeit at a premium. A few minutes later the same guy who just told me there were open wandered over and asked what I was looking for. I had just finished explaining my previous point and was half way through asking about an interesting Adelphi IB when he interrupted with “sorry, we have a zoom meeting at 6 and are wanting to close up” essentially ushering me to the door rather than let me finish. A couple more minutes and a token effort indulging my question and he would have likely sold a bottle or at the very least enticed me to come back. Will not be back in a hurry.

Unbelievable range of rare whiskeys, wines and miniature bottles, also great range of common verities. Staff are very friendly, and prices are like any regular bottle shop apart from the rare bottles which are big $$$ as you would expect.

The Wigs Cellar is a brilliant family run bottle shop with a huge selection of specialty spirits and liqueurs, as well as a small but carefully selected range of beers, wines and Champagnes. There's not much you won't find here. Their service is superb and they deliver within the city.

What kind of legitimate bottle shop is open for 5 hrs a day? Place is never open maybe it's the Australian way don't work hard and go on holiday 3 months a year. This place embodies the australias lack of effort.

I mean.... Look at the selection of Australian gin in this shop!! Friendly and helpful staff. Great range of not-so-commonly-found gin. Support local non-chain liqour shop that appreciates variety.
