Definitely the worst food I had in Sydney. I ordered Paella the waitress said "It will an hour to serve" Well... I said "Ok, we will wait" I could understand that paella can take that much time to cook. Then she came back again to say "We don't have crab, do you still wanna order it?" And I said "Yes, you can put the other stuff instead of that". And it took literally 1 hour to get it. But the rice, Rice, RICE!.... wasn't cooked enough. It tasted like the rice soaked in a warm water for 5 minutes. It was super hard to eat it, felt like chewing uncooked dried rice. And paella has to be crispy on the surface of the pan. But it was not. Everything was uncooked even the seafood. I was worried to get sick from it. So I don't recommend this menu if they still cook the paella in that way to the other customers. Otherwise, you will lose your time, appetite and your teeth.
I had to explain the concept of vegan several times, and I could here the staff laughing about it. The pizzas where good, but ridiculous small for the price.
The staff were nice but the food was deplorable. Steak so tough you would be chewing for hours. And the white house wine was pretty disgusting, the red very little better. The fish was ok but really, this is a poor advertisement for Australian cuisine. I couldn't recommend this place. A waste of money.
How disappointing. We came here with a group of 22 for a hens night and to say we were ripped off is an understatement. Firstly we had 22 people yet they kept on brining out servings for only 18. The garlic bread was probably the best part. Meatballs were half frozen, garlic prawns was disgusting and paella came out 30minutes after everything else when we were packing up and ready to go. Everyone walked out hungry. Service was also shocking. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Great little spot with good food, good wine, and excellent service. It was a busy night Vivid Sydney and we expected a long wait, but the food came out in good time. A great experience and we will be back again. Roy, the owner, even had time to chat with us.
I agree I tried many times of the breakfast and desert, all just ok, no wow factor . However I do go there very often. Why? Where else can you find a spot in the rocks without hustle and bustle. love the live music in the afternoon and at dinner time. After seeing all those people in circular quay and in the market, a quiet spot with soothing music is all you need. It has this vibe that makes you feel very comfortable.
The place was filthy; carpet needs replacing and the wall sockets scrubbed. Unfriendly service. Terrible food. Eggs Benedict came with cold hollandaise sauce in a separate dish, obviously straight from a bottle. Avoid. Flee. Run away!
Service really quite poor, staff very slow and not very assertive. The food was really not very nice at all, felt very cheap with hardly any presentation or taste. Really confused how this place stays open considering this is a vintage cafe the food really didn't match nor did it meet our expectations.
Wow! If the service was any slower I would have died of starvation. The food was a joke and our friends from QLD not Melbourne sent the coffee back because it was rubbish. This place is a joke and needs to review everything.
Thumbs up: Good customer service Thumbs down: It took a long time for them to serve the food. Other comments: The food was okay. The paella was average.
