Talk about an amazing place. I used to come here 2012 when they first opened. I just walked in June 2022 and the owner right away recognised me. LOVE the customer service, love the quality of food. Huge range of delicious food in display and order off the menu. You won't go wrong. One of my very favourite cafes in Melbourne!!! Personally probably my favourite. Below scores are out of 10 Customer Service 10 Food Quality 9.5 Atmosphere 9 Presentation 10 Products 10 Location 9.5 Parking: Lots of parking available. Overall 10 Team, keep up the amazing work. Love it!
Sunday morning and driving through North Balwyn, where I lived when a teenager, and looking for coffee, here we found The Village Cafe. Looked nice inside and also some outdoor seating, so we took a punt, and glad we did. The place was humming with just a few tables vacant inside where we wanted to be. Staff were great from the start with a friendly welcome, and we had a nice table. Seemed like we had just sat down when our coffee and cake arrived via another friendly waiter! Coffee and cake were both excellent. These guys have got it; nice facility, good coffee and food and great service.
Very friendly and good customer service at this small but comfortable cafe. The drinks as well as the almond croissant were yummy. Would certainly be a returning customer.
It's been a while since I had paid this cafe a visit due to the pandemic. They still have a dizzying array of fresh made brekkie & lunch options, as well as small, ready-made meals such as wraps and sandwiches on display. Unfortunately, my favourite dish, the "big salad" had since been taken off the menu. However, the staff were kind enough to make one for me regardless, and it still tastes marvellous. Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian dishes on both the brekkie & lunch menus, and they will often accommodate requests for small adjustments. Parking: There are some on street parking spaces along the shopping strip, as well as a large parking lot located behind the cafe.
First time since COVID I managed to refamiliarize with this cafe. The Wagyu burger was delicious and good value for $20, while the cappuccino I had was served extra hot as requested and tasted fine. The interior was sunlit and the service was first class. Highly recommended.
A fantastic local cafe with very friendly staff. Coffee is very good and service is always provided with a smile. Food is very good as well. Highly recommend the village
Excellent. Ordered an Egg Bagel and Picollo for breakfast. Yummy. Nice view. Nice air. Will be back soon.
Service was efficient, and it was late in the morning of Cup Day... I just didn't quite feel welcome. That's personal: the food and coffee were fine and I've enjoyed that efficiency of service on other visits. But I'm not truly a local.Food: 4/5
This is a favourite place for breakfast or lunch, lots of great choices. Has nice shady outdoor seating too.
Came late in the afternoon so the kitchen was closed but there were still sufficient options to satisfy and the dessert offerings looked moorishFood: 5/5
