The Terrace cafe, with its outdoor seating area, is in a picture-perfect location with great views across, for example, the Ornamental Lake, Taxodium Lawn, Fountain Island and Picnic Point. 

On the couple of occasions that I've been here the service has been good and the staff helpful and friendly. The coffee and scones are good however prices are on the high side given that there isn't any table service. 

For ambiance, I highly recommend avoiding the canteen look and feel of the inside eating area and sit outside. However, the tables, especially those in the outside eating area are not cleaned very well.

Everything was so nice. The service was great. The food and drinks were fantastic. Well worth the visit and time spent there.

I can't really talk about the Terrace as a cafe, my experience was predominantly as a function venue for my partner and I's wedding. I could not fault the venue in any respect for this! The location and space were amazing, the food and drinks were great, and the staff were fantastic. Emily and Emily were our main points of contact and they were EXCEPTIONAL. They were so well organised and took such incredibly good care of us. Given the number of wedding horror stories i have heard it was amazing to always feel in safe hands.

Fantastic place for whole family. So yame freshly baked muffins and very good coffee. Fantastic botanic garden. Must be on every one schedule when visiting Melbourne.

Great view, peaceful place. Tea and scones combo is bit expensive but good. Personnel were so kind and gave my daughter an extra pack of chips when she spilt hers!
