The Terrace – Royal Botanic GardensnnNice spot to relax in the middle of the gardens. It has a calm vibe, good for going with someone or just enjoying some time on your own. I just had a coffee — simple but good — and the guy at the counter called me by my name and wished me a good day. That kind of service stands out. Worth checking out if you’re around.
Love the breakfast ! Egg Benedict with potato rosti, thick cut bacon and apple salad is awesome. Serving staff is very friendly too.
Love it here! Had myself a spritz and some chips as I read my book. So peaceful!! Do have to dodge a few birds but that’s easy to deal with, for the location. Staff were also super friendly and quick!
Staff were inattentive and more into chatting with each other than serving customers. Had to wave several times to get their attention. Food was overpriced and underwhelming. And the strawberry matcha, I took two sips; the first one had me questioning if something was wrong with my mouth, so I gave it another chance, immediate regret. My face turned as green as the drink itself. Never again
The Terrace was a lovely little cafe in the heart of the Royal Botanical Gardens. The coffee was solid, the toasties were good, and the service was great. It’s a bit of a tourist spot, so don’t expect the level of food and drink you’d see in other Melbourne hot spots, but it was a nice little stop along the walk. Thanks again!!
