Let my photos do the talking! I came here for breakfast and found it hard to choose what to have. I was served a cappuccino, perfect by the way, and finally rested my mind on corn and zucchini fritters with asparagus and poached eggs. Oh well, I thought, why not add haloumi? And so it happened. A wonderful surprise in the heart of Bairnsdale.
Nice little coffee shop/eatery tucked away off the main street. Staff were very pleasant and the service was excellent. The food was tasty and hot. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and added fried mushrooms, chorizo sausage and tomatoes. It was really nice. Washed it down with a nice Chai Latte which was one of the best I've had in a long while. It all cost around $40 which I thought was reasonable.
I stopped here for brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a good coffee and also ordered the shashuka. Shashuka was ok, it was more reminiscent of fried eggs in a spiced sauce than poached eggs. While the sauce was very flavorful, I wasn't expecting the eggs to be what I received. Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Happy to accommodate children with a smaller milkshake size offered and flexible when ordering sides for my son who didn't feel he could eat an entire adult meal.
Enjoyable brunch. Had the Flora and Fungo with eggs. Chilli Jam was the hero. Good tea also. Yarra Valley. TEA. Will take some sweets home. Recommended. Fast attentive service. Post notes. Sweets were great and I bought some jams to take home.
Must have been a bad morning in the kitchen when poached eggs come out hard boiled. I was really disappointed that for a $19 breakfast I could not enjoy it and wasted food in the process, or should I say paid for food that was not prepared right and palmed off rather than corrected in the kitchen. Staff didn't ask if the meals were ok even though I had left half nor did they ask on paying. Pretty average
Went there approaching to the kitchen close time but the staff was really nice to let us know immediately so we could order our food asap. They served yummy food and drinks! Love the place! A few fruit trees in the garden, wondering if it’s possible to enjoy house fruits in harvest season
Me and my boyfriend went out for brunch and got eggs and bacon with a hash brown and a vanilla and chocolate milkshake , Our meals where not very nice we left half of the meal and I got the vanilla milkshake remade and still wasent very nice I don’t know why, after I told the manager I wasent happy he was a little rude and didn’t offer anything to make me happy or fix it he just said “hundreds if not thousands of people come through here each week and his never had a complaint. And then continuing to say “well that will still be $57 for today” Maybe he should come on here are read the reviews because much are the same. We went around to Phoenix after and had a much better meal.
Welcoming staff. A good place for coffee or a meal. Plenty of choices on the menu including a gnocchi with pumpkin and almonds. A good find when passing through Bairnsdale. Would definitely visit again.
Great place to have a coffee and catch up. You can get a full meal or just coffee and cake - so that is what we had and it was a great place for our catch-up.Food: 5/5
Easily the best hash brown I’ve ever had. Travelled through from Sydney, just had a hash brown and a coffee - was pleasantly surprised by the quality!
