The Sphinx Hotel is a taste of Egypt situated in the heart of Geelong. The 15 metre Sphinx is your one stop entertainment venue in Geelong. As well as comfortable 3 star air conditioned rooms, you may dine in the popular Pharaohs Bistro which is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and fully licensed.

Other facilities include TAB/Sportsbar, Entertainment Lounge, Luxor Lounge Conference & Function Room, Drive-Thru Liquor Store and Cazbar Dance Club which operates every Sat ,with Live Bands & Saturday Nights Retro A Go-Go.

The Sphinx Hotel is located in North Geelong off the Midland Highway. Only 5 minutes to Geelong City, 50 minutes to Melbourne CBD, close to North Geelong Railway Station and the Arena, home of the Geelong Supercats.

Last Saturday I took my wife and daughter to see the Elvis Tribute Show which we did enjoy. However, we decided to have dinner before the show and what a big mistake. The meals were overpriced and tasteless. Calamari was bland and Eye Fillet Steaks were undercooked and like rubber. I asked for the garlic butter for the steaks and was given ordinary butter instead. The salad was a stingy portion consisting mainly of rocket lettuce. For $149.00 I could have had a really good meal. Never again will I go to their restaurant. If I go to a show I'll eat somewhere else before or after. Don't waste your money.
Great place to eat with a unique and impressive Egyptian theme that makes it stand out. The food and drinks are delicious, offering great variety. Added bonus — a fun and well-designed playground for the kids to enjoy while you relax.
We held a wake at the Sphinx and cannot fault the staff and their kindness. Everything was set up as planned and the food served hot. Staff were attentive and fabulous when you needed help and really friendly behind the bar. Plenty of parking and not too busy.
We were only here for a meal which was very good. The Egyptian decor is full on, no half measures, inside and out. It is a novelty but very well done.
Well known local landmark with the unmistakable feature of the Sphinx feature. The rooms are comfortable and have all the features you would expect in a modern day hotel. Plenty of parking available within the hotel property.
