Definitely a bit more on the expensive side, but the service was good - the staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered the classic cheesecake slice. It was $8, but was worth the price. It was a good quality cheesecake - good texture, and not overly cheesy or dense. It was also a nicely maintained place - cute seating areas and clean. Would come here again to try some of their other cakes!
Okay okay, let’s write an in depth review. I have been visiting this cheesecake cafe for a few time over the past years, and I am writing this review based on my experience so far, and I will review this cafe for the following factors which I personally care about a cafe. 1. The coffee. I will give 5 out of 5 for the coffee itself. As shown in the photos, I ordered a large cap for $5 today, and we all know things in Sydney are expensive, so I reckon the price is acceptable, I know some other cafes are charging $5.5 for a large one. The taste of their cap is great! They did the right amount of forth with a smooth and creamy texture which I find rare nowadays, just think how many time you order a cap and barely get any froth out of it. The taste is also on the point, not too bitter, and the aroma of the coffee beans is not overpowered by the milk. The first sip is stunning, so 5 out of 5 for the coffee. 2. Environment. 4 out of 5. I really enjoy sitting here as yellow is such a happy colour. It feels like a mood booster to me to stay in this cafe and do a bit reading or writing. The AC is on, and there is even a study area if you want to be quiet and bang out some homework. The only reason why I am not giving a five star is the bathroom. Their bathroom is very small and humble to put is nicely, and i do find the bathroom a bit dirty tbh. 3. Friendliness. 3 out of 5. For today’s visit, the experience is great. But there was one time last year, I was here with my friend waiting to make our orders standing literally at the counter, and the two staff were just chatting with each other for a good 5 minutes before saying hi to us. I do find this rude. So over all, I would give 4 stars out of 5. I would have given 5 stars for overall if the quality of their service is consistently good.
First time here, pretty chill and lovely staff. It was around 8:30pm and my friends & I decided to get dessert, thankfully we came here because it was quiet, had variety of choices and a cute small mirror to take photos haha. Definitely recommend for a study date, late/ last minute dessert.
I always love to stop by at The Smelly Cheesecake with my friends, co-workers and families for a cup of coffee and some cheesecakes. This is also a nice spot for those who are either working or studying on their laptops or any form of devices. The coffee tastes good and the cheesecakes are nice. They also have gelatos for those who want to enjoy something else!
Had nice cake and ice cream here. Good environment too. But seriously you need to put the price of each type of cake, not just the names. Thought this is something very basic?
Such nice cakes! Really tasty and will be going back. Soufle cake is good. Mango cheesecake a bit bland. Good coffee.
Interestingly the scones themselves were nice and crumbly but the cream and jam were low quality, I think some dollop or freshly whipped cream not from a can and jam not in a packet would take it to another level. Coffee was a little bitter but overall ok.
The coffee is consistently good and full bodied. The Korean girl that is usually here in the afternoon, has a smile that just makes my day. I don't know her name, but she deserves recognition from management. My visit was Friday @ 12:15pm
The lady that served me was so cute and enthusiastic in explaining my drink and she made sure that I was enjoying my cake. It just didn't hit the 5 star mark as the cakes are overpriced considering the quality and size.
It is a good place at strathfield to have a cake and for people who want to do work or for tutor. Not that busy and they have yummy ice-cream as well.
