Wonderful service, wonderful food, excellent coffee. Our server was so helpful, unafraid to make suggestions, which were all spot-on. The porridge was beautifully presented with both stewed and fresh fruit. The pancake was unique, with caramelized bananas and toasted walnut. Instead of cream I asked for yoghurt and they brought that out with fresh blueberries and strawberries. Wonderful!
Generally it was a good visit on my way to Jervis Bay. Nice vibe. Easy to find and access. Pet friendly. Menu was diverse but food can be warmer. It was a very busy Sunday lunch time 12 - 1. Maybe visit again.
Lovely spot for lunch. Friendly service. Delicious food. We had the beef burger $25 and chicken with chorizo $30.
Decent food but food took extremely long to arrive close to 40 minutes for food and 20 minutes for coffee despite cafe being mostly empty. Staff were friendly
What a surprise this place is.Amazing food and service. We had the twice cooked pork belly special and the beef shin and it was next level tasty. Honestly, better than some of the high end restaurants we have been to in Sydney. The produce here is what makes it amazing. Don’t drive through without stopping in you won’t regret it.
This is one of our favourite restaurants in Mittagong, always our pit stop for a coffee, cakes or hot meals. They have both indoor and outdoor seating area. Lovely staff!

What a venue! From the ambience to the quality of food, the amazing service to even the smaller details of having activity bags for the kids. Cannot sing the praises of this establishment enough. The wines and the beer, even the coffee, melt off the bone meats, quality of seafood is something to experience. This is a destination one must set out to do. Cannot sing the praises of both the chef / owner and the staff enough. Simply put…if you want an experience when dining, this is a must…do not hesitate and do not go anywhere else in the area.
We loved it. The food was delicious and perfectly paired with lovely wines. Reasonably priced for the quality of the meal and portion sizes. The kids enjoyed milkshakes with their lunch while mum and dad had a glass of wine each. The duck confit was beautiful and the outside was perfectly crispy. The flavours of this dish complemented each other beautifully. The garlic chilli baby octopus salad was also beautiful and fresh and went perfectly with the Basil and tomato. We recommend. The kids all chose cheeky desserts for lunch and loved every bite. Oh, and the duck fat potatoes were everything I'd hoped they would be. I got the smaller sized main so I could fit them in. Definitely the right choice. The service was great. The head chef asked us if there was anything else we needed and checked on us after we got our meals. He was sincere and happy to spare a moment to talk. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed the pictures of Highland cattle as we sat. It's a good location and there was parking nearby. Highly recommended - we were recommended by a local friend we were visiting, and have now recommended to family. We wish the Shaggy Cow all the best and hope we can return soon.
