Had breakfast here a few weeks ago. The menu was in a bit of an American flavour and I had the breakfast in a skillet Baked Eggs. It was good, but a little pricey for what it was. Others around me had the 'Big Breakfast' and it looked pretty big! My partner had the Eggs Benedict and she was quite happy with it. The service was a little slow for a Saturday morning and we did wait a while for what was a simple order. The venue was certainly busy with some outdoor tables - quite comfortable even though it was a rainy day. Its a funny place in the middle of a residential area, unless you knew it was here, you'd probably never come across it!
This little cafe is tucked among some great shops right in the middle of cute sleepy Stafford Heights. It brings to life a suburb that is awakening with younger people moving in and taking over. The menu is interesting and exciting and has something for everyone. Now the service is always friendly and helpful and quick. The cafe opens early though closed around 2pm. They are open for dinner Thursday, Friday and Saturday but it good to check for an evening out as they can be busy. Prices are reasonable. There is a small car park behind though heaps of off street parking. Open on Public Holidays. Enjoy your visit and tell them Claude Fullinfaw referred you : Happy Visit!
Went here for dinner. A beer took 20+ mins to bring to our table. So called hot buffalo wings were tasteless and bland. However... the pork ribs were so overdone or underdone i honestly couldn't tell they were so awful my knife couldnt cut through them! We left all our food untouched and obviously unhappy, the passive aggressive reaction by staff afterwards made the experience all the more bitter.... Nothing like cafe urbano that used to rule the space... a warning to others, Avoid!!
We patiently waited for a hamburger and chicken burger 50 minutes later and no idea on how much longer we are expected to wait, we had finally had enough and left. The tables were a mess and showed no interest in cleaning them. We asked for a mug of water and they gave us the mug.... with no glasses. We had an issue with how the food was left of the service bench for over 10 mins and no server to be seen. The lady at the bar even realised how bad it was and decided to try help as we left. To summarise Overpriced No originality chicken and ribs... is that all you will put on your menu... seriously? Poor service Understaffed Messy I wish I could get that hour of my life back but it taught my partner and I a valuable lesson. DONT GO TO THE RUSTY BURROW.
Waiter didn't write down our orders and completely stuffed up our orders. He had come back to check what we ordered. Eventually I got a luke warm burger and started eating it, waiter then came back and asked if ordered chicken or beef, when I said beef he took my meal away without saying anything, He seemed really annoyed at me. We then saw him serve the burger I was just handling and eating from to the poor man at the table beside us. He then bought out a much smaller burger for me without apologising. The new burger still wasn't what I had ordered as it had the extra bacon I specifically said I didn't want. Food was very average, it was really dark outside to read the menus and the seats were hard and uncomfortable. Won't be going back.
I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it. Sweet fit out, but...The food was fine, nothing to rave about, I had eggs benny $19.50, the portion was tiny and the price extreme I felt especially considering the above. My partner had a baggette $9.50 out of the cabnet which he said was ok. The beverage selection was too cool for common folk like me who just fancied a pineapple juice, ... but carrot or kale is popular at $8.50 - pass.
Awesome food and great customer service. Squeezed me and my sister in right on closing time, they were so polite and the burger we had was so yum! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone heading to Brisbane.
Absolutely terrible. A one hour wait for egg on toast with a hash brown that tasted worse than what you get from McDonalds. When i complained they did not even care. With so many breakfast places around this is definitely one to avoid.
One of the girls with glasses and blonde hair i found extremely rude twice that i have been there and i have walked out a twice over the last couple of months . And just not me. Its expensive for the food. Dont find it pleasant at all.
Have never been let down. Such great coffee and the food is super tasty. Friendly service. They know my order every time I go in.
