I would like to Thank the Lady that helped me on the 9/2. I arrived from Australia at 7am for a wedding at 2.30pm and she went above and beyond to have a room ready for me so i could get settled and ready. She was so polite and is such an asset to the business. Room was great had everything i needed. Will stay again definitely.

Note sent to the manager Mr Cowan Thank you for sending the written response. I was, however, considerably less than impressed with the reception I got when I rang to chat with you about the note. I think you need to take a deep breath and listen when customers ring with concerns. Talking loudly, complaining about being busy and banging the phone down as you shout out call your lawyer doesn’t really enhance your image or that of the establishment you are supposed to be managing. When someone expresses their thoughts about the room, take the time to hear them out. Who cares what the other guests think. Unless they were in the room with us and also dropped an item down behind the bed what they have to say in their comments is irrelevant. You could have apologised for the small lapse in housekeeping, said you’ve passed the info on to the relevant staff members and assured me you were confident it had been sorted. I’d have been pretty satisfied with that. You could have checked the room and observed there was no shower seat for a disabled person attached to the wall as you claimed in your letter and saved yourself writing a note which was factually incorrect. Incidentally the office woman said the same thing and I stood in the bathroom with the caregiver who came to help and she couldn’t find it. Neither of you bothered to go and look. So your approach lead me to a different solution. 1. I will post this note on your reviews page. 2. I’ve sent my note, and the responses from you and the office woman, to the Commerce Commission because I was totally misled by your pricing 3. It has now been suggested I should make a complaint to the Human Rights Commission as a disabled customer was involved and the room was advertised as being “accessible” when it wasn’t really up to scratch. 4. I’ll lodge a claim for the overcharge with the Disputes Tribunal and we will let them decide if I was misled. I trust you will think the way you handled things was all worth it. Hopefully 2018 will get better for you and your customers Regards Roger Duncan
