Quaint and pleasant space. A comfortable, welcoming theatre.

This is a fabulous little theatre, with charming decor and a bar inside the auditorium. The Playhouse is home to the Hobart Repertory Theatre Society, a company with a history spanning some 90 years. In addition to Rep's offering of five play seasons each year, many other local companies present theatrical events at the Playhouse, including musicals, drama, comedy, one-act festivals, and pantomimes. The venue is much loved by Hobart audiences.

This is my favorite theatre in Hobart. It has a warm intimate atmosphere and the seating is comfortable without obstructions.
