The Pier, Cairns is a great place! It's great for lunch, with a coffee shop and a vegan restaurant right in the center. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. There is also a pharmacy for your quick holiday essentials. If your feeling a bit under the weather, vist the health clinic! The staff are friendly and there are no long waits. I definitely think The Pier is a must for any holiday maker.

Great to see it grow again.  It was brilliant in the past it is getting better as more businesses join the place. There are some lovely shops there.

Overall its a great experience but very focused towards tourists. The restaurants are amazing but slightly overpriced & the shopping arcade is filled with merchandise which is sold at a stupid price tag. Still worth visiting but more for the food. The little cafes make it worth the trip over to the pier.

Compact town. Lots of restaurants and food types. Plenty of activities on and off the water. Quality accommodation with great views. Lots of bargains to be had. Easy to get around.
