First time visiting this cafe which is located at Springfield Road. Despite the quiet location, the cafe was full of diners when we got there. It was a sunny day hence the seats at the alfresco area were packed too! We got a seat next to the window which was nice and cozy. My friend has been here few times and she said the place has not failed her so far. We decided to go for the porky bun, Thai calamari salad and the burger. The coffee came not long after and they were full of aroma and tasted good too. The food was served soon after. So we were happy with the service. I agree with my friend that the food is above average with a twist. The porky bun was served with Hoi sin sauce and the belly pork was tender and juicy. The Thai salad with calamari coated with bread crumb was appetizing and refreshing. The burger was average. The cafe also serves other meals we have seen in many cafes. At least they tried to be different and food served is well presented and tasty too. Don’t expect the waiter to refill your water as the cafe got too busy at lunch hours. Otherwise they are smiley and attentive in general. I would recommend this place if you are within the vicinity for their food and pleasant atmosphere. There are plenty of car parks too.
I feasted here after an early morning hike, and it was exactly what I needed! I ordered the Belly Benny and really enjoyed it. The braised pork belly was tender, juicy, and full of flavour. It was stacked on top of maple syrup-infused waffles, which gave the dish a delightful mix of sweetness and saltiness. The paprika hollandaise added the perfect final touch of flavour.nnI also tried a bite of my friend’s Salmon Poke Bowl and Magic Mushrooms a dish on their specials menu, not a drug, lol. Everything tasted amazing! The Poke Bowl was packed with many vibrant flavours that complemented one another beautifully. The Magic Mushroom was excellent too - it’s rare to find mushrooms cooked so well, where the flavour shines through without being overpowering. The buttered toast it was served on was perfectly toasted too.
Peddlers Café is a cozy spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. While the indoor seating is a bit limited, they do have an outdoor area available, which is great for busier times.nnThe menu offers a good variety of food, beverages, and desserts, catering to different tastes. However, when the café gets busy, the service can be a little slow, but the staff is always friendly and accommodating.nnOverall, it’s a charming place to enjoy a meal or coffee, and I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!
Great little cafe in the neighborhood serving delicious light meal. Good price, great variety and portion, friendly services
