Was a bit out of town which we liked. Loved the history. Comfortable room with all we needed but no kitchen sink. Washed dishes in bathroom Rooms: Big comfy bed. Plenty of room in the accommodation. Folding frames for both suitcases.
It says has wi fi but also says no internet so why would you connect without internet seems Irish to me & finally the cattle have stopped calling as in mooing. The back fence was way too close to the rear of our accommodation. The bath was nice but the shower in the morning well may have been gas as it just wouldn't keep hot I'd get warm then it would go cool & also think shower cubicle could do with an extra corner strip closest to the bath as was a gap between glass panels so I had to position shower head away from the corner otherwise they'd be heaps of water on the floor. Nice area with good views when the sun comes out. Also we felt that the room being so spacious with a king bed I lost myself in it was comfy but the lighting was too dim as only 3 lights & globes weren't bright enough being a dark timber lined ceiling. The posters on the front windows & the old telephone system was very informative.
Great place for a getaway! Heaps if little features make it very welcoming. Charlotte is fantastic and her two border collies were a nice surprise to meet. Would recommend & will stay again next time I'm in Stanley!
Easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The room was so spacious, the bed exceedingly comfy, the breakfast spread amazing and don’t get me started on the massive freestanding bath! Absolutely stunning remote location and incredibly friendly and helpful service. Cable Station greatly surpassed our expectations and I look forward to staying here again sometime in the future!
Don Charlotte are friendly and helpful, room is tidy and clean with beautiful farm and sea view alongside the road from town center, we also enjoyed the dinner cooked by Don, delicious, the best beef I have ever had, highly recommended.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed here while in Stanley to visit the 'Nut', it's a few minutes out of town but beautiful accommodation. The owners Don & Charlotte were very helpfull and friendly, they filled us in on the history of the cable house. It was where the first telegraph cable was laid to link the mainland. etc
Peaceful location with farm and ocean view. Cozy room has everything you need in high quality. Nice hosts and fabulous breakfast with BBQ and gas cook top.
The Cable Station was an amazing place to stay. Beautiful, quiet and the hosts Bob and Dot are truly excellent. I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the experience immensely.
Amazing stay, beautiful room, remote location but nothing's missing! Loved it.
