Absolutely phenomenal. The love and effort that has been put into showcasing the wonder of Australian opals shines out as you move from showcase to showcase. The rendering that has been put into the plastering to resemble the walls and roof of underground opal mines is so realistic that one would be forgiven for forgetting they are in the middle of the city and not below ground in the desert in a hidden wonderland of opals.

Stumbled into this little gem. Went for a look. Very  Interesting it was lovely to get some information about Opals. And the fossils that had turned into Opals. So many pretty stones

Beautiful store and collection.   Opal are expensive.  It's great to learn about it but I don't think I would spend that type of money.  But good place to visit.

Really cool pieces in the museum, very beautiful and one of the staff was very lovely and informative; lots of interesting facts. Jewellery is gorgeous.

We bought a beautiful opal ring that will be a family heirloom. The staff were able to tell us about each piece with informed detail and did not try to push us into buying. I had it resized and Ron went above and beyond to make sure I had it for my birthday. Would definitely return for future purchases.

Cool, stylish place mimicking a cave mine. Little bit of history and beautiful products. You can see the technician cut and polish the stones as well. Very knowledgeable staff.

We brought an overseas visitor to National Opal Collection. We researched various places but we were so impressed with the patience, expertise and attitude of the staff here. The opals are stunning; we left informed, respected and with three magnificent, lifelong gifts for our friend to take home for his wife and daughters. Highly recommended

I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the store in Melbourne.  When I visit the store on my previous holiday, I met Liz.  She was very knowledgeable and was able to assist me in my purchase of earrings.  I met William on my recent visit to make a purchase of a ring and several pendants.  He was very professional and knowledgeable. We spent some time in making the decisions based on the selection of light opals.  It was very difficult to make a decision but with his help I was able to.  I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in purchasing opals to shop here.  I will definitely purchase all my opal jewelry from The National Opal Collection.
