The Mill on Constance is located in a back street of Fortitude Valley and steeped in history and tales of ghosts. Occupying one floor of a gothic brick tower that was once a flour mill and World War II base for US soldiers The Mill is the perfect casual bar to enjoy local craft beer or a glass of wine at pub prices. The beer menu is extensive, with four rotating craft beer taps on tap and a mix of craft and standard beers including Indian Pale Ale, Pale Ale, Pilsener and Porters. At the time of writing a new outdoor deck and bar is being constructed - great new area for the quaffing of crisp summer beers or a cool white wine me thinks - yum!
Had a nice chicken schnitzel with chips and slaw here for lunch one Friday. The prices are good and the service was quick given how busy it was - but I'm taking one star off, as it was very hot inside with no airflow and no air conditioning, which made for an uncomfortable time eating a hot meal.
Excellent selection of beers as well as spirits. Great atmosphere and staff.
Decent craft beer pub, could have more taps tho
Very cool craft beer bar within a historic building with a great atmosphere. Friendly and passionate staff with heaps of knowledge on what they specialise in ... craft beer! Food is very well priced and a good selection to accompany beer. Happy hours are great value!
One of my favourite boutique craft beer bars in town to enjoy a drink with friends or by myself! Always impressed with the rotating beer taps and the really yummy food too. Love the brick interior and funky vibe.
Cool, tucked away venue. Has a great vibe, and really interesting craft beer on tap. The cheeseburgers are very tasty, getting the brioche buns was nice touch. The chips are something else. Definitely worth the extra three bucks.
The great beers and amazing staff are what make The Mill so special. They just need to be open more often!
What an absolute bunch of legends! We had our Wedding Reception at The Mill and the staff and venue was outstanding. Funk the Chef was totally onboard with our vision and he and his staff created an amazing feast. Celeste organised the event exactly as we had planned and the bar staff were excellent too. Recommend this place to anyone and will certainly be visiting their new venue when it opens.
I like The Mill. It is actually the best place on earth. Think of all the greatest and most wonderful things in your life; the touch of your lover on your special places, the soothing reassurance of a kind word from a wise old friend, sound of pooping in a long drop toilet. The Mill does all of this for me. The food is awesome, the staff are so friendly you'll feel like a regular on your first visit. The beer is ever changing and diverse.
