Advertised as free breakfast, we were told on arrival for breakfast no it's £9.50 each per day. Even after showing them their own website!! WiFi not available all over. Very dated rooms and public areas, bathroom was totally poor, orange bath and sink, white loo, shower over the bath. Not disabled friendly, lots of trip hazards galore in the public areas. Frayed carpets and small steps here there and everywhere. The website shows beautiful gardens to sit in, only if you want to wade through a jungle or climb dangerous steps. If you are reading this before booking don't book. Having stayed on the island many times this is the worst ever
We liked this place. It was close to everything we needed. It is up a hill but unless you are in very ill health its do-able. Parking is in the sister hotel a short walk down the hill. The rooms were fine, bedding clean, beds comfortable. The staff were super.
Nice b&b. Decent breakfast and good location especially if wanting to visit Victor hugos house. Bed was very comfy and slept very well. Excellent wifi too. Only issues would be that it's up a hill so if you are less able be aware and that the locks on the doors were hard to open and lock.
A very clean older property, staff nice and freindly, breakfast is good and varied. Only snag i would say for older or infirm people it is an up hill climb from the Port to the hotel. Al ok otherwise. Rooms, hot water etc....
I found this hotel had everything I needed although finding the hotel itself was a nightmare lasting over an hour of driving round in circles. This was no fault of the hotel itself and the sister hotel did their best to help over the phone so heed my advice when I say that if you are a first time visitor to the island then make sure you locate your hotel in good daylight because as you can see in the picture there is no street lighting or externally lit signs. Other than that id stay here again anytime.
Wow, you get what you pay for in a relative sense but this place is far from "cheap". Single bed was fit for a 5 year old, the ancient TV was about the size of an iPad. The twin room had only a single available power socket, the shower was lacking in both pressure and heating power, the toilet did not flush at all... If you need to be close to town, the 10 minute steep uphill climb is deceptively inconvenient. The guest house was neglected, unwelcoming and far overpriced. Avoid.
Great place to stay. Meticulously clean, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is good, service can't be faulted. Bit of an uphill walk from town but doable.
Lovely little guesthouse. Nicely decorated, clean, really friendly helpful staff
Simple rooms and good breakfast in the morning, all for a reasonable price. It's located on a fairly large hill but I was still able to ride my bike up to it without too much trouble.
First impression was What a s##thole-double bed was just a big single bed which isnt big enough-plus me feet hung over the end But when we slept in it it was really comfy so was happier after a good nights sleep Breakfast was a bit small portion but really tasty so all in all turned out ok--you get what yoi pay for
