Our booking was for 5 adults 2 children We waited over an hour before our appetisers arrived and the last meal arrived an hour and a half after our orders were taken. I would understand if the restaurant was fully booked, but there were only two tables before us and kids dont understand why they dont have their food...There was no communication from staff about the delay and although our waitress was friendly and polite and the food was ok i would not rush back for a meal.
Food was shocking. Avoid.nONE steak was supposed to be medium rare and the other well done. Instead they were identical and VERY very chewy. The chicken parmigiana was rubbery and overcooked. A plethora of excuses could not make this meal any better and thats what we were offered. The Chicken was apparently fried, then cooled in the oven and being thin if course it would have this texture. Sadly, we have a tennis ball that is less rubbery.nOn a positive note - the garlic bread was the only enjoyable part of the whole meal.nnWe were offered only a 20% discount - meaning we paid $110 stillnnWe realise we probably should have said more. But we will vote with our feet
Its really losing its way in terms of food quality and customer service. It wasn't awesome to start with but somehow it has declined. However, its clean, its warm, and pretty well priced.
The new management Manaaki are so awesome. From the service @ the bars, to the food from the chefs, it’s always on point. Portions, taste, cleanliness. 10/10 can’t recommend this place more. They are short staffed, but they will do and they did the upmost for us to have the best experience. And we did, can’t thank you enough Manaaki and her team:
