Your standard fish and chips store at one of the busiest beach in Sydney. Menu is clear and easy to order. Seafood tastes fresh but chips are bit oily. The grilled fish portion was too small tbh. We wanted to get the fish tacos but they didn’t have it on that day…what a shame!
Ordered grilled tuna and chips for $18.50 and specifically asked for the fish to be cooked rare, received this extremely over cooked tuna, was so firm and terrible tasting. If you don’t know how to cook specific foods, don’t serve them.
The tacos are a must try here! I came here after hearing about the sizes of the tacos and they definitely delivered. The chips could be improved though, lacked flavour not didn’t taste of potato.
I went here in July-2021. The calamari was so delicious as was the John Dory Fillet. The chips were excellent too, and excellent customer service. I will go here again for sure. This is an excellent seafood restaurant with a wide variety of fish to order on the menu…
Well located. We had the fisherman basket and grilled NZ hake and Greek salad. They were all great. The calamari rings were very nice crunchy and flavoursome.
I'm local. I looks this place. The menu, and food quality is exceptional. My rating is based on you closing at 8pm. In the middle of summer time. There are dozens of people outside. Many still eating. Others waiting for food. Half your menu wasn't even available to me. 'Sold out' Australia is indeed the most boring country in the world. Anywhere else in the world, I can still eat for hours yet. This entire strip is dead. It's a disgrace. You should hang our head in shame. No wonder we have no tourists. And those we do have leave Australia perplexed. Sort it out, business slumlords. Your service is terrible.
Drove an hour from Western Sydney on our only day off for fish tacos. Got here and was told there aren’t any fish tacos. Fine. Ordered a 45$ meal for 2. Got our meal and they forgot to add tartar sauce, we had to go back and ask. Then we realised they hadn’t added the lemon either, had to go back a second time to ask. As others start receiving their meals, we see a plethora of tacos coming out of nowhere, only 1 order after us. Not only did we drive out for nothing and were told what we wanted wasn’t available when it obviously was, we were also met by poor service having to go back for our condiments. I never leave google reviews but this was just a terrible experience and I left so so so unhappy.
The food was absolutely amazing, we were 2 and ordered set for 2 and we couldn’t finish all. Definitely worth the money we payed. The lovely lady at the till was so friendly and helped us with the menu choice : … .. 10/10 .. we will definitely be back ;
Bang average. How can you mess up a freaking fish and chips come on. I really don’t give bad reviews, but honestly this place is just pure lazy.
So inconsistent, can be good but can be inedible. Staff don’t understand basic instructions like “just lightly dipped in batter”, “no cinnamon” or “medium rare” tuna. The chips can be good but on other says soggy and underdone. Fish can melt in your mouth or be dripping with oil. I know staffing issues are a problem but so is their training.
