The Lakes College is a Prep to Year 12 Independent Co-Educational College located in North Lakes, Brisbane.

Story

The College commenced in January 2005 and is owned by the Uniting Church. The Lakes College currently has approximately 700 students from Years Prep - Year 12.

The Lakes College is well known for an amazing sense of school spirit and strong community and seeks to engage students in their learning and preparation for life in the global future. TLC values academic endeavour, respect and responsibility. TLC places a priority on providing the best learning environment. Our purpose built modern facilities with integrated technology and air conditioning offer students the surroundings for an excellent education.

The school is OK if it wasn't for the constant pushing and shoving. Some of the teachers believe that being transgender is OK which is surprising since this is supposed to be a christian school

This is the worst school I have ever perceived. Appalling service and all the staff are boisterous. I have extrapolated that this school uses the worst forms of punishment that don't correct students and don't provide the right discipline. Would rate 0 stars if possible. The teachers just boondoggle and there is no carte blanche for the students. The whole school is disheveled and they don't teach any equanimity and they are equivocate. The future of the students studying there are infinitesimal. Don't waste your money on this school!

My son has been bullied here for a very long time. His classmates often berate him and the teachers join this form of bullying. His grades were very high and they dropped after teachers at the school encouraged classmates to bully him. My poor boy was just spreading his political beliefs about World War 2 and he was very fascinated about tanks.... and they bullied him because of his views. He also was bullied in school camp where fake stories were made about him and all he did was walk around naked in the camp, nothing wrong with expressing himself

Absolutely love this school. I have been to 3 and on my 4th day here back in 2012 I decided this was the one I'd stay at. Sure school has ups and downs but it's different for everyone. The Lakes College has become my brothers and sisters because it feels less not like a community, but a big family.
