What a fantastic experience! I can’t remember the last time I went to a pub or restaurant where I wanted every dish on the specials board. I settled on the Papardelle with beef ragout while my partner had the Chicken pot pie. Huge serves we couldn’t finish them, so full of flavour. Brilliant list of wines by the glass and great selection of tap beers. The staff were super friendly. Highly recommend this great pub!
I’m from Melbourne I came up to Kyneton for a farm stay and had lunch on my way through at the Kyneton Hotel. I had such a delicious meal omg, real country food! The staff were absolutely lovely xoxo I HIGHLY recommend you stop in and have a meal. Sit by the open fire and soak up the atmosphere. You have got to try the chicken snitzel and mash potato the BEST I have ever had thank you.. I’ll be back for sure ‍
Stopped in on our long journey home & thought we’d get a bite to eat with the kids who were ready for some yummy food. Checked the reviews & thought we’d give it a crack. The people who worked there were very kind but the raspberry lemonades were very ordinary, and we’re not sure how you can stuff up a bowl of chips but ours were cold & hard as if they had sat around and been refried… yuck!! The toilets stank out the whole hallway to the beer garden too… would definitely try somewhere else if passing through!!
My wife & I stayed last Saturday night & had dinner in the dining room. We loved it! Booking was easy, when we arrived we were met with a friendly smile by all the staff & given our own personal familiarisation tour of the pub & our accommodation. Our room was very comfortable & quiet. The food in the dining room was delicious & drink list included many locals from the area. We will definitely go again!
We feel so fortunate to have found this hotel. What a gem. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome, with staff really engaging with us. Lovely folk …. As Queenslanders braving the cooler climate the open fire was just beautiful. We love our food and eat out mostly and the meal we had at The Kyneton was world class…. I mean it… I had a Lamb Ragu and it was better than one I had in Italy….this pub is exceptional in all facets…thanks we will be back.
