We ate here several times during our holiday and loved it every time. Excellent coffee, great food, and the service was genuinely friendly and thoughtful. Even with a full house on a busy day, all the staff kindly went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience and were well looked after. Highlights were the Deez Nuts smoothie, iced Nutella mocha, and crispy battered fries. The chilli eggs with smashed avo toast and the hotcakes were the standout breakfast dishes for us. We’ll be back for sure!
The dishes were not only generous in portion size but also bursting with flavor. The Chili Eggs were perfectly spiced and the Eggs Benedict also surprised me as it had a potato rosti instead of a piece of bread.nnWith its great food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service, The Hungry Monkey is definitely a place I would recommend for anyone looking for a satisfying meal in Kiama.
I will give 5 stars if I haven’t eat the product label inside the patties, but the staff is so nice and help us change immediately after we show her the label inside the meat. But it is always good to make food safe and clean. Better to book before go. And recommend the burger call the bad boy? not sure. and the fries are good.
We used The Hungry Monkey to cater our wedding and could not recommend them more, we and our guests!! were blown away!!nI chose the Hungry Monkey team because their menu fit our brief of relaxed, easy food to share for a reasonable price - which somehow seems to be a rare find in the catering game!!nI was impressed with what was included in their prices and completely amazed with the spread on the night.nWe opted for a grazing table for our cocktail hour, I didn't get to see it but the photos from our guests and photographer omg!! A mini wedding cake made of cheese?!? You guys did us so good... our guests were RAVING! The lovely staff we hired from Hungry Monkey as bar staff even made us each a plate so we could enjoy some food while we were away doing photos.nEVERYONE was so friendly, helpful and lovely. From the communication leading up to the event, to the day, we even had a catering team member help me get through the venue in my wedding dress before the ceremony - using umbrellas as shields so no one could spot my dress before I walked down the aisle. ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE!!nThe food - blown away. Absolutely blown away. I told people we had a food truck caterer and you guys just completely showed me up, the food spread was vast, it was ALL delicious, the salads were amazing - and all dietary needs completely covered.nI cannot say enough about how lovely your RSA bar staff were, they were such a delight.nYou guys completely made our wedding - thank you SO much, we are definitely stopping by to try the cafe in person next time we're down South.nThank you Hungry Monkey!!!nPhotos courtesy of Dan Cartwright Photography - and a random hungry guest!!
Service was extremely great as they were very fast to attend to us and where checking in with us and other customers quite periodically.nnVery friendly staff who were having lovely conversations.nnFood was amazing, I had the double burger which had excellent tasting and cooked beef. The beef was a star but I can admit that the mustard was a bit too much for me 9/10nThe missus had the grilled chicken burger and thought that it was fresh and in her words “Yummy and I’m judgemental with my burgers” 11/10nnShe also had a latte that she was very happy with.nnWe were happy with the price and would come again definitely.
