The Hub Cycle Centre Staff are great. If you want a job done well then go to these guys 1st. Needed a new wheelchair tyre, AvantiPlus in Hastings replaced it and had to return it as it wasn,t seated right. Ended up getting the old tyre put on as they could fix it. Should have gone to The Hub the 1st time.

One of the best shops you can find in NZ, the attention to detail is awesome, they're passionate about cycling, professional and actually ride at a top level so they know what really works and what doesn't. No BS here, just straight up advice and excellent mechanical work. They can also source everything you couldn't possibly need no matter what discipline you're riding.

Best service in town!!! Always nice, helpful, and knowledgeable! And not just out to rip off. Very reasonable in price, especially for repairs and tune-ups. Will do quite a bit for free (e.g. pump up tires, have a quick check of tire pressure, quick adjustments, etc), just because they're awesome!  That's what keeps us coming back. It's the first and only place we go to for bike repairs.
