Lunch was pretty good, we had the seafood platter which was $22 really good value as coming with 2 prawns, 2 fried fish, 4 mussels, salad and chips. And my daughter had the pasta, sauce was tasty but the noodle itself was a bit soggy. The local white wines were very nice, generally a good affordable lunch eatery
During my stay here I have been purchasing my morning coffee at The Hub at Port Fairy 15 Bank St. I have been buying a large cappuccino and it has just been excellent. Today being my last full day in town, I decided yesterday to have breakfast here today. The team I found really helpful and seemed to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the busy business. I ordered Eggs Benedict, a very tasty little number with poached eggs, bacon and hollandaise sauce. One of those meals you savour every bite. It was just delicious. The Hub at Port Fairy, I was told by the Barista is open at 7.00am everyday, however this wasn’t the case when I rocked up at that time today. Things in life just happen I guess. Thank you for the great breakfast and coffee. Well done!
All the food we had was horribly bland. The pasta was the worst pasta we've tasted ever - overcooked, soggy and tasteless. The iced chocolate tasted like iced water with a hint of chocolate. The waiters were nice and polite, but we overheard the chef swearing at them over simple requests. MVP of our meal was the table salt.Food: 1/5
Seafood platter was outstanding and the pumpkin soup so filling my wife could not complete it. Great food and excellent value Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room for strollers. Lots of kids at lunchtime Parking: Plenty on street parking but it wasn't holiday time Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entry door Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options for GF, diabetics etc.
We had the seafood platter and pasta, both were good. But the best was the $10 Calamari on Salad on the kid’s menu, the calamari was the best I’ve ever had, complimented with decent size beautiful ice cream too.Recommended dishesSalt and Pepper Calamari with Salad
What a great find in Port Fairy. Beautiful decent portioned meals served promptly. Very good variety of dishes to choose from, not overpriced and very courteous service. Thanks guys.
Food was fast, fresh and delicious. Ice chocolates pretty bland. Very expensive though, myself and 2 kids for breakfast the youngest had a biscuit and water rather than a meal and it was over $70Food: 5/5
Fair meal, not that tasty. The kids pizza was not great, the crust is more like a biscuit. The Sri Lankan chicken curry was too spicy and again we were not impressed... There are probably better restaurants in the surroundings. The kids menu includes an ice cream cup, which saves the day. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available.
They have listed what is gluten free on their menu which is great. Their food was okay but hospitality was average . Not a bad spot for a feed if everywhere else is closed.
Great place! We came here for lunch and were not disappointed. Super friendly service and very quick, even when very busy. Food was pretty large portions and extremely tasty - best chips I have had in a long time! Would recommend.
