I've been going to the Hawthorn hotel for roughly five years on an almost weekly basis whilst at university. Whilst the building and decor are nothing special, this place is a uni students dream. Taking advantage of the food specials that are on each day, as well as the happy hour drink specials, eating here can be quite affordable, provided you know what specials are on. If you're a uni student this place is for you!

Pleasant vibe. Decent range of drinks and the pizzas were delicious. 

Pretty quiet for a saturday afternoon/ evening but it was a scorcher outside. The air conditioning was running strong and provided lovely respite from the sun.

Went on a Saturday night when the place goes by the name beta bar. It's a pretty fun place if you like video games and other nerdy things. It's fun to get drunk and play one of the many video games here.

Not too bad to hang in there once in a while. However, it’s a very old place that could be much better with a bit of care an effort. Same goes for the menu - drinks and food.
