Food, ambiance, and service was fantastic! Hats off to the lady who always kept an eye out for us : For mains we ordered surf n' turf and the lamb shank. Both tasted really good and serving size was pretty huge. Lamb was soft and tender, coming off the bone. It's a great place and after covid they are training staff, so you need to be patient. I had scollaps wrapped in Bacon - amazing The other meal was Fettuccine and it was great Mains were Brisket and Ribs, both amazing. Well done chef! After several visits, the food has been consistently good with generous portions and service is excellent. Steaks are cooked to perfection and the pepper sauce is next level. Pork belly and pork belly bites are a must if you love the crunch of a good crackling.

Delicious food coming from the kitchen my steak was cooked perfectly and the seafood chowder was to die for. Awesome service from Front of House and the cocktails were tasty. Thank you Good Home Takanini for a great family night out.
A gem amongst industrial The Good Home definitely deserves the title. Nice atmosphere and lots of floor space with good seating arrangements. Great service and mains/sides to match. Able parking and accomodating hours of trade. Recommend.

Excellent service from staff. They were kind and friendly. We hoped the food would have been a bit better though, it missed some essential flavors that we hoping to get. We've had the same dishes elsewhere and found that this place missed to hit the spot. It was a bit pricey too compared to the other restaurants around. I would encourage you to go if it's your first time, personally I wouldn't repeat.
Called same day and luckily got a table for six at six. Located on Gt Sth Rd - on-street parking is thankfully available as it was packed onsite. Arrived a little late and they still greeted my son with no fuss. Situated in my preferred area with banquette seating. Plenty of room so many places pack you in so closely!; warm environs against winter chill with ABs vs Ireland game on TVs around the spaces. As it was very busy, food was a little slow so the game helped as a distraction. Our hostess was efficient, attentive and friendly. Food was divine… Best pork belly I’ve ever had!!! We also had surf n turf, steak/egg/chips, chicken carbonara and brisket… good portions - everyone was very happy. Brulee was heavenly sorry ate that too fast to take a pic!. We also had sundaes and apple crumble needed crumbly crumble tho… I was celebrating being with my hearts after months apart so I wanted a place ‘more’ special than Dennys. It certainly cost more, but worth every penny. We would definitely come back. Thanks for a great night
