Came here yesterday for the first time. Have seen alot of negative reviews but wanted to give it a try for myself. We were pretty happy with majority of the food we ordered. Everything was fresh and hot. I reallt enjoyed my pork vermicelli and the fried rice was a hit too. The only thing was the pork on rice was very plain and the crackle on top wasn't salted so tasted like nothing. Other then that we enjoyed our meals and the food came out pretty quick too.
Put a review up 2 days ago about walking in there at 3pm and all the chairs were on the table while staff were mopping the floor. I didn't know if they were open or not asked the staff who was mopping the floor, she didn't reply. She gave a dirty look as we proceeded in onto the wet floor. Another member of the public came in and asked if they were open too. I just don't know why they were mopping at that time of the day. They must have lost a lot of business. Food was ok, ordered rainbow fried rice, had a little bit of shredded chicken, no BBQ chicken and 2 prawns in it, mainly rice. You'd expect there to be a lot more since your paying $22 for it. Posted a review on Thursday but someone took it down but left the pics up there.
Order cost $95 in total. Ordered 3 x soups! Just shredded chicken from Countdown, low calorie noodles, all were disgusting and a complete rip off. Couldn't quite understand why it tasted so strongly cinnamon?
Came today. Asked the guy behind the counter if the fried rice contained shellfish as my husband is allergic. The guy went to ask the cooks and told me it didn't. Brought the rice home. There was shrimp in it. This is highly unacceptable and very dangerous. I am very disappointed and upset. A waste of money and also and a potential allergic reaction. Terrible. Please educate the staff on what goes into the food.
2 stars are for the side dishes we ordered however, the hot pot was a massive disappointment. The meat tasted like it’s been in the freezer for so long to the point where it no longer tasted like meat! Everything else was just so low quality we couldn’t even finish our food. Never coming here again
Food was really good and serving size was big. A dish might even be good for two people. We also ordered an Iced Mocha. It was delicious! Tasted like Wendy's Frosty! Yum! Loved the pho, too. Flavorful, clean-tasting broth.
It's nice to stop. I ordered a large cappuccino in a to go cup. It's a pre lunch lull I think so I had a nice big table to myself. Ordered a bacon and avo omelette which was okay but a little on the dry side. They do offer plenty of condiments and sauces tho so my choice to eat it like this. The coffee is great. Roma coffee roasters it says on the shop front. Their bread is beautiful! It's warm in here and the bg music is a wee bit annoying as . Don't bring your girlfriend here for brunch after a hard night on the turps that's my opinion. I have passed this place many many times before and it is always busy so do try it!
Great Vietnamese Pho. Actual had Bun Bo Hue, rich broth with loads of meat cuts. Very good! Selling traditional NZ bakery fare with Vietnamese options. Love to come back and explore the menu.
I spent $32. I bought a vietnamese noodle dish - with little spring rolls V1 and a Vietnamese roll. The noodle dish was okay, but the lettuce was not fresh and only a small number of spring rolls. Cost me $19. The Vietnamese roll was just insulting - $12. Probably a cost of $3 to make with these ingredients. The actual roll fresh and crispy but it had a couple stands of coriander in it, lots of grated carrot and minimum pork. The little pork in it was more fat than meat and not fresh. Disgusting. The roll was given to my chickens as just awful. Will not be buying takeways from them again. Dishonurable to customers
I ordered two roast meals which came with peas, gravy, pumpkin, potatoe, kumara and meat of your choice in which we got pork and lamb. It was delicious! Also a very well presented restraunt with the availability of take-out aswell. Definitely recommend.
