I wanted to check out Glass Den to see what the hype was all about, especially with its high ratings. The menu has a great variety of options, and I tried the Avo Rose and Chilli Crab Scrambled. Both dishes looked beautiful and were nicely presented, and the taste was good overall.nnThat said, I felt the flavours could have been a little more exciting and memorable. Given the hype around the place, I was expecting something that really stood out.nnUnfortunately, a couple of things also took away from the experience. I wished the washrooms were cleaner, and I was particularly disappointed to see pigeons flying around the dining area while we were eating, with dust being kicked up around the food. That definitely wasn't something I expected from such a highly rated place.nnOverall, great menu options and beautiful looking plates, but considering the prices and the overall experience, I felt it didn't quite live up to the hype for me.
We recently returned after a few years away, and unfortunately a lot has changed since our last visit.nnThe menu has been significantly reduced, and many of the dishes we used to enjoy are no longer available. While the food presentation was nice and the dishes looked appealing, the quality and flavour didn’t live up to what we remembered. The taste and overall dining experience just aren’t the same as they used to be.nnWe ordered the Korean Chicken Waffle. The chicken was crispy, but it was a bit spicier than expected and the flavours didn’t quite come together as well as we’d hoped.nnThe cappuccino was the biggest disappointment. It tasted more like watered-down coffee mixed with milk, lacking the rich flavour and texture you’d expect from a good café coffee.nnThat said, not everything was disappointing. The pancakes were nice, and the Angus beef burger was enjoyable, with good flavour and a well-cooked beef patty.nnUnfortunately, the overall atmosphere of the café wasn’t very pleasant. The place had a noticeable smell throughout our visit, and the interior feels like it’s due for some renovation and refreshing.nnConsidering the current prices, which have increased noticeably, we expected a much better overall experience. Service was okay, but compared to our previous visits, the café has lost some of the quality and charm that made us want to come back. Hopefully improvements can be made in the future.
I have been to The Glass Den on numerous occasions and they have consistently blown me away with their creativity and quality. Fabulous brunch spot! I can’t even pick a favourite dish because everything I have had has just been top notch in its own right!
I visited Glass Den to try the viral Pistachio Hot Chocolate. It was good and I enjoyed trying it, but I personally found it quite expensive for one drink.nnThe price made it difficult for me to order more items, as I would have happily tried more from the menu if it was a bit more reasonably priced. Overall, it was a nice experience but I feel the value for money could be improved.
