Disappointing and in my opinion overpriced. I ordered the Spiced Roast Cauliflower and I know grocery prices have gone up but I would have expected a larger quantity of food for $18.90. I left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The total came to $50.40 for 2 lunches cauliflower and beef nachos and 2 soft drinks. If my calculations are correct the drinks a ginger beer and soda water came to $11.50. We ordered at the food counter and then had to queue at the bar opposite site of room to collect the soda water. The bench seats were absolutely filthy dirty and covered in stains. We won't be returning, the food tasted good and staff were friendly but it was a very disappointing experience. Sad to think this is the first New Zealand experience some visitors will have when they visit.
Pleasant staff, lovely cold Heineken and an iced coffee for $18.50 so not over the top pricing either. Cool music piped in the background provided a nice relaxed atmosphere to sit and have a pre flight drink
The drink was nice espresso martini but charged $18 when the menu states $15. Followed this up and they said they had changed the menu, however it is false advertising and needs to be updated
I ordered a beef burger for $29. The beef patty was very raw, salad was minimal and quite soggy. MacDonalds would have been far superior. When I asked for a refund they said they couldn’t because I ate the fries. I suggest you avoid this food provider.
Incredibly average. Eggs were overdone and my partner waited well over half an hour for her fries and croissant from the cabinet. Had to ask 5 times before anyone actually bought her food out. Not sure what I expected from the airport but it was more than what we got.
Wish I had read the reviews before taking my 3 friends here to wait for our flight. Abruptly told that one part was closed, ordered loaded fries to share, had to go looking for plates, extra cutlery. Cosmopolitan drink was bland. They started packing up our table while we sat there with drinks. Staff not welcoming or happy, not one smile. As someone else has said, what a great welcome to NZ for travellers. Do better Gypsy Moth!.
I recommend Fish Taco and their amazing Cider! Excellent food! Amazing ambiance! The staff named Apple Losa is so friendly and accommodating! Freshly delivered food and drinks while watching rugby game! Great location while waiting for your flight!
Found this place very disappointing. My wife and I had breakfast here with our grand daughter. The seating and tables were grubby. The breakfast menu was very limited. The enamel bowls were like our camping plates! Really surprised how poor this was. Next time we will have breakfast at McDonald's.
The service was fine. But the food over priced and no flavor. The nachos were burnt and completely bland. You know it's bad then the sour cream is the most flavourful thing on the plate.
Two flat white coffee please. $10.00. Wave phone over terminal with increasing vigour no, didn’t notice the handwritten “no paywave” taped to the side of the card terminal. Assistant standing passively with blank look. Ask, does this accept paywave? No, only card. Drag out a card and try to remember how I last used it back in the 18th century. Take table number placard and wait at table. Two flat white arrive, one with half in saucer. Mention to waitress. I’ll get some serviettes. Never returned. Coffee weak and luke warm. Welcome to NZ and we’re expected to pay gateway airport prices for this introductory experience. Avoid this place.
