The rooms are old and falling apart. Was in a new room and made to move with no notice to the old part of this private hospital because of managements choice to save money on employing staff rather than the patients needs coming first. It was distressing and stressful to all patients forced to move. The state of the majority of the hospital is an absolute nightmare and considering this is a private hospital that costs over $1900 a night to stay in the conditions are disgusting and appalling. This is all due to the greed and patients welfare being ignored by management. The nurses and other staffed employed here are not at fault and clearly do the best they can under these circumstances.
The Geelong Clinic is a vital, paramount and absolute necessary service in Geelong . It offers excellent service and if this were to be compromised or closed down clients would have nowhere safe to go.
I had a disappointing experience with the Geelong clinic. Most psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, and facilitators are excellent. The real issue is poor interdepartmental communication and what seems like cost-cutting at the expense of patient care.nnAfter leaving Geelong, I discovered a prescribed medication requiring a psychiatrist’s script hadn’t been returned. I was told to either travel back or contact my psychiatrist, who was unavailable for several days. When I eventually had the chance to return to Geelong, I called and was put through to the after-hours coordinator, Janine. I clearly explained how long it had been since my stay. She was initially polite, but on calling back, she weaponised that timeline against me, speaking in a rude and dismissive way that left me feeling belittled.nnTL;DR: Frontline staff are great, but serious issues in coordination and management are creating real risks for patients. Janine and corporate leadership need to overhaul their “coordination” strategy.
Was admitted to the clinic with a known issue that the clinic specialised in. When they realised I was too far in need and in my opinion I was not going to be a success story as I was a complex case I was discharged. With 1 hour’s notice. The Nursing staff were amazing. Especially Carrie, Amanda and Olivia. Management seriously need to look carefully about their motive operandi. Their KPIs cause more harm than good. I don’t recommend this place at all. And if you are considering make sure you ask as many questions as possible and know without a doubt what a day looks like.nnOh. And they are happy to medicate you so you keep quiet. Make sure you fully know what is being subscribed
Had a concerning call from a friend who is currently a patient there at 1.40am in the morning, when I tried to follow up with staff at the clinic by phone immediately afterwards no-one answers, it just disconnects, you cannot leave a message. This is not a 24 hour service as advertised. I hope my friend does not die in their ‘care’..
