Good price for serve of fish & chips. Good serve of chips and fish was thick and had good flavor. Staff friendly easy parking.
New owners digging in to do a great job. Challenges with their phone number so try this one 9245 4168. We had premium Hake and chips for two delish! We will be back. Great price and will be checking out the fish tacos on promise for the next few weeks. Good work guys.
Found this place by chance, best stop for fish and chips. 3 choices of cooked fish, crumbed, battered and grilled. Good range of packs for the light to starving stomachs served with a friendly smile. Fish was perfect and chips great, not oily like other places with fish half cooked and batter or crumbed fish looking like its dipped in hot oil for 5secs then served. Chips and fish are golden cooked perfect. This will be our first place for fish and chips any night of the week!
Top quality fish and chips! My family has been buying from The Fish Shack for years because it's the best around. Very clean premises, well presented, freshly cooked to order hence a little delay sometimes
This used to be a very well run shop, clean and excellent fish and chips. I visited today may 2018. Unfortunately the place is a shadow of its former self. The place is grubby with ancient magazines abounding., The fish overdone and soggy. Chips were horrible and the oil hasnt been changed ide hazard a guess. It has new owners the original English owners long gone. They really need to move the old signage out "best fish and chips in Perth" is not accurate. Avoid!!!!
I have been getting fish and chips here since the new owners took over, best fish and chips ever, Spanish Mackerel is beautifull. Twice a week in there, staff are great, beautifull meal every time, support these guys!!
Very expensive!! Thought we would try out the local shop after moving house. Ordered "2 pieces of snapper, 1 serve squid rings, 1 corn jack and $6 chips plus a tartare sauce" over the phone... standard order at our old place, expected $35 maybe $40 because of the area. Got to the shop: $60.50! Got 4x small pieces of fish and the rest as expected, not larger than than a standard serve at other shops. Staff friendly and food wasn't awful, but won't recommend because of the price. You are better off driving to City Beach or Scarborough.
Used to get my F&C here all the time when I was living in Floreat. That was 5 years ago. Went there today, ordered a Large F&C, two battered dim sims and 4 potato cakes. The fish consisted of two small pieces of soggy fish with the batter stuck to the paper it was wrapped in. Potato cakes had a weird black ring around the edges? People were very polite and the food was tasty enough and it wasn't too expensive. Just not as good as I remember.
Great to see the New Owners have taken over this place and brought it back to the best fish’n’chips in town. Great food - Great service.. just what Doric st needed. I found there new number 9245 4168 and also seen them on Uber which makes things easier with their new name ‘Chasing Dory’
